Guest guest
Hi My daughter Holly aged 21 months had the first 'temporary' slings put in a month ago. She is due the 'permanent' slings using ligament from her leg when she is aged approx 4 years, because they need the leg to be long enough. This is usual practice in the UK because using the leg ligament means the lift on the eyes should last for life and should not need re-doing. Another operation is scheduled when Holly is aged 3 to operate on the 'epicanthus inversus' part of the syndrome which means pulling the skin down towards the nose so you will be able to see the tear ducts. Hope all of that made sense - I am a novice so someone correct me if I am wrong!! Thanks Lucy (Hampshire, UK)erin_lawrence83 <erin_lawrence83@...> wrote: I have a three year old daughter and she was born with bleps. She had her first op when she was 8 months.
