is 4 going on 40 lol. We went to my cousins surprise birthday party

in Nj yesterday and she was just an angel. All the other kids were running

around like wild indians and she sat and watched them. When it was time she got

up and danced on the dance floor with anybody who would dance with her. After

the boys I'm happy to have a little lady, don't get me wrong she is a bit of a

tomboy also. She has to be to put up with her brothers. Just let me know when

you want to try to get together. Friendlys works for us. I'm thinking if we

try the tavern we might not be able to hear each other talk over the music. My

hearing has not adjusted after last night yet. We could not hear each other

talking at all last night. My husband is laid off right now until after Easter

so we can do a night thing, just let me know. Barbara

I am all for it but I am broke as usual.... we did coordinate this a little over a year ago and it was wonderful.....

Well - for what it is worth I live an hour from Disney....(In FL) and an hour from the gulf beaches... I am right in the middle. If it is within driving distance I would love another get together!!!! it is really beautiful here now.... mid to low 70's..... may be refreshing to those in the northern climates!!! probably a long shot but thought I would throw that in.

I'm really sorry to hear about the lack of support you are getting

at home. I'm very blessed with a supportive husband (though not my

first, he is the last!) I think the fact that you can both still

laugh together is a good thing, and sounds hopeful.

Cherie - have you ever been to New Hope, PA? That's probably a

little more than half way for me, but it's a quaint area, and not

hard to get to from Philly. Route 95 to route 31 to Route 202 -

unless you know another way. I do live North of Philly - actually

in Northwest New Jersey, not far from the Delaware Water Gap.

I think my husband feels like he's carrying alot of the weight here,

working alot in the yard and I haven't been keeping up on the

inside. Of course we've had that scenario in reverse, but people

don't often remember things like that, so it's making him

resentful. It's like I've been in a wide-awake coma for the past 6

months. Taking in air, eating food, walking, talking - but not

really functioning. Tonight I went to pick up a couple of pizza's,

and I swear this was the first time I've noticed the stars in

months. It was nice to be outside in the chilly air without my fake

boobs flexing in the cold. I really hated that feeling - if I got

cold, one boob would head east and the other would head west, it was

very uncomfortable. Even though I still don't feel well, I'm so

relieved that I'm not worrying about foreign objects nesting inside

my body. My body generally takes at least 6 months to recover from

things like this - so I know I've got to be patient. I'm going off

the pill this month, too, so I'm curious to see if that changes

anything.

One other thing I forget to mention - did anyone notice digestive

problems once they got their implants? Like heartburn and not

digesting your food properly? I have been taking digestive enzymes

and that helps the digestion part, but the heartburn is another

story.

Sis - I have had some problems with heartburn too - seems like

nothing will help the stabbing pain when you breath in. My natural

doc/chiropractor said hiatal hernia and pushed in on my diaphragm.

I don't know if it helped, or it it would have gotten better

anyway. It still comes back sometimes. Stress brings that on for

me. We do need to be patient with our healing. I have had a rough

four days. But I told my kids about it last night, and that is a

huge burden lifted from me. Now I can be more open with other

people. Do you have kids?

Although my husband isn't acting like he is carrying the burden, I

know that I have been guilty of those feelings on occasion when he

wasn't feeling well. From experience on both ends, maybe a reminder

of how much you appreciate and love him would soften him.

New Hope would be fine, or even another place. I live near Media -

SW of Philadelphia. I don't mind driving a ways. Are you available

on weekdays? I work at home and can flex my work time.

Cherie - thanks. I know, it's hard some days to be patient with the

healing. Surgery itself takes alot out of us without having immune

problems to boot. I have to remember I'm only 2 weeks post op. I

just took the bandages off a few minutes ago, and there are still

steri-strips there so I haven't seen the scars yet. I definitely

look smaller than I did before - but I think some of that is because

the muscle is still indented, plus I've got a little bit of sag

where I never had that before. I guess it's kind of like I would

have looked had I ever gotten pregnant and then lost weight - which

I guess answers a question of yours - I don't have any kids of my

own - I've got stepkids. The stepkids weren't told about the

implants or the explant. They're older and don't live here, and I

really didn't want their mother to know - she hasn't exactly been

kind to me over the years. Even though she has implants as well, I

still don't think she'd respect my privacy. I kept things pretty

well hidden - if I was that embarrassed of the procedure it's

interesting that I ever had it to begin with. I've got to give it

time. After about six weeks I can do some exercises to help it

along, I just have to find out what type of exercises to do.

I kept my implants hidden too. My own mother and sister don't

know. Well at least I never told them, and wore sports bras and

baggy shirts whenever I was around them. So ridiculous. After I

got them, my posture was terrible, because I ended up embarrased

that I got them and tried to hide most of the time. So I know what

you mean - why did I even get them? I've stepkids too. I have a 13-

year-old stepson who has always lived with us. I also have a

stepdaughter who is 19, she lived with her Dad until I came along,

then she went to live with her mother. Ive been walking regularly

for exercise, and have slowly been getting back to jogging. My

surgery was almost five weeks ago already.
