hi -

one thing to remember is that dr sears is trained as a doctor. that is

alot of years of training in one kind of thinking. as with all of us,

looking at things from a different perspective can be difficult when we

are used to seeing things from one way. it's his job to see vaccinations

as useful or helpful. i'm not saying he couldn't see things the other

way - but - he is a doctor!

when i was researching the pros and cons of vaccines i went to my local

health unit and they had a hand out on why parents should vaccinate

(geared at parents who had their doubts). it was a question/answer type

thing. one of the questions was something like " what about long term

effects or damage of vaccines? " the reply was " there are none and there

are no studies that show long-term vaccine damage " . i was just reading

in one of my course readings that long-term to the medical profession

can mean a mere 6 weeks!!
