Guest guest
Interesting.. they actually admit in this article, that 12 out of every 1 mill will die from this vaccine. makes you wonder what the others will have to worry about. Vaccine Purchase Eases Moral Questions, Raises Others By Mark Cowan, correspondent SUMMARY: The Bush administration has agreed to purchase enough smallpox vaccine to protect the United States in case of a bio-terrorist attack. That means tissue from an aborted child won't have to be used. But not everybody is happy. The administration has ordered 155 million additional doses of smallpox vaccine that could be approved for use in less than a year. Dr. s, of the Christian Medical Association said that is good news. " The good news that all of us will have to look forward to is that they are actually developing a vaccine that's not based on using human cells taken from an aborted fetus, " s said. Some pro-life groups have been concerned that the vaccine originally used was developed using the tissue of a child aborted in 1966. s said patients can tell their doctors they want the vaccine made without using the fetal tissue cell line. " The medical professional should honor that request, " s said. " You might not be able to get your vaccine at the place you've initially sought it, but it should be available somewhere in your community, or your physician or your healthcare personnel should be able to get it for you. " However Veronique De Rugy, with the Cato Institute, said government plans will prevent any distribution until there is an outbreak of smallpox. " They are basically stockpiling these vaccines and not making them available to the U.S. population, " De Rugy said. Recent polls have indicated 61 percent of the nation would take a smallpox vaccine if it were offered. De Rugy said that would provide community immunity. s, however, said the vaccine could kill 12 out of every one million people inoculated. " If we vaccinated the whole country, it's pretty sure that we would see about three hundred people die from that program, " he said. s said vaccination within a week of exposure to smallpox can provide therapeutic effects.
