Usually after someone has been treated with chemotherapy or radiotherapy, they are monitored every three months with a catscan. Gage, a nurse involved in the clinical trial, says the vaccine offers patients an additional treatment that could keep a tumour from growing back. Patients involved in the study will get a shot once a week for eight weeks and then once a week every six weeks while they're being monitored.
