All you need is a pat of baking soda under the arm.Works better than any

store bought(even hfs) brand antipers.

Always good though to atleast go 1-2 days without anything. You body needs to

sweat to detox.

Hey Sara, that's almost exactly what I was gonna say! :)

'Cept I was gonna say baking soda AND cornstarch - 50% of each mixed

together. This is what a elderly lady told me when I was complaining about

having to be so stinky during pregnancy (there was no way I was going to put

that crap on while I had a little baby inside me).

And make no mistake - I'm a skunk!

It actually works. I don't know that it keeps me from sweating, but it sure

keeps the stink away. I tried just corn starch by itself and that didn't

work. I haven't tried just the baking soda.

Well for me the BS works great along though sometimes I get a rash under one

arm.Ofcourse you can also add a few drops of GSE or tea tree if you are not

allergic to either to keep bacterial growth down. I used to sweat so bad that

I actually used something called DRYSOL by script after years of soggy

shirts.Stuff burnt the hell out of my skin, and I ended up sweating everywhere

but my armpits...so much for that!

I just take a pinch of it and rub it on.You don't need a layer or

anything.Even if you choose to wet it(I used to have a jar with bs/tto paste)

you just rub a little on and rinse your hands.

As with anything it might work for you or might not.I can only say I sure as

heck wish I could have avoided all those embarrassing years of soggy shirts

with something so cheap!

Hi Dawn, well it's not the neatest thing. It can get a little messy. I

simply put my mixture into a plastic bag and for application I reach in, grab

some and apply. So yes, some does fall which is why I do it over the sink.

It seems to work even when applied to totally dry pits.

It takes some getting used to, but I really enjoy knowing that I'm no longer

poisoning myself with aluminum. All those " natural " deodorants never worked

for me. Although there is some kind of cream product that is actually zinc

oxide I believe. It did work and was wonderful because you don't have

reapply but every week or two. The only catch there was it was really tough

on my armpit skin. Kinda chewed it up.

How would you apply this? Sorry, but I am so used to the convenient technology

where you just remove the lid and rub it on. With the cornstarch and baking

soda being dry, how do you get it to stay in place? Or do you?

Thanks!

I know Dr. Duffy wouldn't like to hear this, but when I became a vegetarian,

I no longer needed deodorant or anti-perspirant. Stopped using

anti-perspirants about 20 years ago because of the aluminum thing. But

didn't need deodorant hardly ever (except sometimes during my period).

Of course I live in Alaska and don't find myself sweating the way you do in

the " lower 48 " and Hawaii. Quite the opposite, as you might imagine.

Just so you can feel sorry for me, it's been below zero for weeks!! This is

very unusual, believe it or not, for Anchorage, this early in the winter.

And here I had so many high hopes for global warming.

I know, I know, think globally. Okay, I'll try.

  • 2 weeks later...

I'm using the stone. Don't notice a smell but I still sweat. Of course it's

winter so we'll see this summer. I had a professor who didn't use anything and

he swore that eventually your body would excrete without odor. Tried this for a

few days but couldn't stand myself! I never noticed a smell with him.
