Guest guest
Marcia, i caught that terrible flu that was going round in dec/ jan 99 (i cant remember what they were calling it, maybe australian flu). i had a splitting headache and was sicker than i had been in my life. ibuprofen, paracetamol... nothing nothing touched it. (ive never had such a headache that doesnt respond to drugs. ) anyway a doctor that uses homoepahty as well gave me someting called CEPHYL it was incredible. now i dont know if it was homopathic and so worked just for me or if it is a general painkiller but it was a miracle remedy. I have tried to look for it again, but so far nothing in english on the web about cephyl, though its there in other languages. seems like its made by boiron?? sheri do you knwo anything about this? kim In a message dated 12/15/2001 7:19:02 PM Central Standard Time, smech@... writes: > This may be a really dumb question but I'm going to ask anyway! > Do any of you know of a natural pain reducer? Guest guest
There is a magnesium drink called Natural Calm which is the best muscle relaxant I've found. Glucosomine, Chondroiton and MSM are also very helpful along with a rather expensive supplement called SAM-e. Boswella, ginger and tumeric are really good anti-inflamatories as well as a digestive enzyme called bromelain. White willow bark is also good for inflamation and pain. << Do any of you know of a natural pain reducer? I have minor Arthritus and pull muscles easy seems like I'm always sore! Guest guest
I read further along that you are breastfeeding. I have no idea if any of these are ok with breastfeeding. << There is a magnesium drink called Natural Calm which is the best muscle relaxant I've found. Guest guest
Cephyl is widely used as general pain killer in France, made by Boiron I believe. You should check Boiron web site and ask them where to find it in the US. (I assume you are in the US?) I did the same for anotehr of their remedies and they responded witthin 24 hours. They also tell you who would do mail order. in Va > From: radiantmother@... > Reply-Vaccinations > Date: Sun, 16 Dec 2001 10:15:50 EST > Vaccinations > Subject: Re: pain releiver/reduser > > Marcia, i caught that terrible flu that was going round in dec/ jan 99 (i > cant remember what they were calling it, maybe australian flu). i had a > splitting headache and was sicker than i had been in my life. ibuprofen, > paracetamol... nothing nothing touched it. It sounds like a chronic, recurring thing that needs to be addressed, individually. Guest guest
Also, according to http://www.farmamondo.com/vista.cfm?ID=175 & LI=j in addition to the homeopathic components, Cephyl contains Acetylsalicylic acid and is contraindicated for women who are pregnant or nursing. Guest guest
I hear ya about the car thing. I don't have the car much either. But hey, you don't need a car anyway. All you need is that lovely thing called a credit card and the Internet. I've ordered from www.iherb.com and www.nourishingfood.com and have been pleased with both. Even found SODIUM ascorbate powder at iherb. Guest guest
>It sounds like > a chronic, recurring thing that needs to be addressed, individually. > Sheri I know many here in this group use homeopathic, I use some but more herbs then homeopathic remedies. So from a different perspective, I have found that arthritis is a symptom of a high acidic ph level. Changing your diet to more alkalining foods and easier to digest foods sometimes helps. (Eliminating coffee, sodas, sugar, dairy) Also, high amounts of Noni have been reported to be as effective as pain killers. MSM/Glucosamine Cream is also benifical for pain. And as stated earlier Cal/Mag works good as an everyday supplement. Robin
Guest guest
high amounts of Noni have been reported to be as effective as pain killers. my sister and her family and my parents and my aunt, and my cousin are all on the Tahitian Noni Juice (I have it in my fridge and can't get past the smell YUCK YUCK) anyhoo, after about 3 months, my mother went off all of her arthritis medication, my cousin's pulmonologist wants all the information Mark can get and told him NOT to stop taking it htat he's never heard his lungs as clear as they were the last time that he went, my aunt ... well, I don't know why she started takign it in the first place... LOL my sister has kidney issues and I don't think she's been back to her nephrologist since she started taking it, but her dh was on the verge of some sort of foot surgery when he started taking the noni. He couldn't hardly walk in the mornings, and after about 8 weeks he got up and noticed a difference. I should take it.... sadly, I don't. Maybe it will be my new years resolution. Thanks Marcia Marcia, What could be more natural than a therapeutic grade essential oil? They are the healing liquids that come from nature - plants, flowers, trees etc. Wintergreen oil with it's corisone like effect or Peppermint oil with it's pain blocking properties might be helpful for your pain. If you don't know much about them, it is really a fascinating learning adventure. It is quite interesting to learn that plants contain natural chemical compounds that are pain relieving, muscle relaxing, calming etc. I invite you to browse my website to learn more about them.
