I am also studying homeopathy with sheri. You are right in that i do find

that some of the A. doctors throw many remedies at you and some are

ineffectual. ( i experienced that once), however my doctor in chicago is

great. she has treated my daughters eye infection with Homoepathic drops and

it worked really well, never to return. i like that fact that she does also

practice medicine when necessary. for example if my daughter were to get

whooping cough, she could use antibiotics if nec. whereas a classical

homeopath would not. i would take my duaghter to a class homeoapath if i

wanted good homeopathy. thats not why i go to the A doctor. I like that she

does different things. she did a stool test and recommended probiotics for

diarrhea. it worked too never to return again. my daughter was waking at 3am

every morning. she suggested a fennel compress. it worked the same night. etc

etc etc.

I didn't see Trisha's early post but one of our pediatricians is an anthro.

doctor. I don't know how I feel about him. After studying homeopathy more with

Sheri I am having a hard time with people who throw more than one remedy and

herbs at a patient when they are ill.

find out if they have one close to you. she can look in her member directory.

they do believe that childhood illnesses have meaning and should not be

vaccinated.

That's exactly why we use our A. doc as well as a homeopath/md family practice.

I want to have a classical homeopath on hand as well then maybe I'll feel like

my bases are covered!!!

Just an FYI, Kim. Antibiotics have never been proven to do anything with

pertussis - that's why they invented the vaccine. You are better with

homeopathy and remedies - will heal much better and not have the added

damaged layer of antibiotics!

Could you provide the reference for antibiotics not being proven effective

for pertussis so I can read further?

but have been on this list for a few years)

Since I, for one, often reference the information I see here, I have to make

sure I'm passing on accurate information. (my sister's a microbiologist and

my mother's in the medical profession also, so if I pass on a mistake it

reduces the believability of anything else I forward wrt vaccines.) So

antibiotics are proven to do something with pertussis; at the least they

reduce the duration of the disease if given right away. (I've read that

vitamin C reduces the duration even better than do antibiotics and would

prefer the vit C.)

My last question would be, in what way do the antibiotics add a damaged

layer? It would be discouraging to find that antibiotics are harmful, since

having the option of antibiotics is what sways many parents to not get the

pertussis shot.

No, if allopaths were honest with you they wouldtell you that - mostly the

perscribe it for the rest of the family wishfully thinking it would change

things. It doesn't.

There is NO guarantee they do anything - every nurse and doctor should know

that - if they don't they missed that day in class.

Again, that is why they invented the vaccine - they invent vaccines when

they think they have nothing they can do for a disease (alhtough homeopathy

works very nicely they don't want to admit that) ie polio, mumps, measles,

chix pox, rubella, pertussis, diphtheria, smallpox - all diseases that

allopaths are helpless against (but homeopaths are not) - therefore they

invent vaccines.

Now they are inventing vaccines for diseases that antibiotics appeared to

help with because of the mutation of the germs and the antibiotics don't

work now - resistant. I say 'antibiotics appear to help' because they only

suppress symptoms from a homeopathic perspective and force the body to find

another way to release the disturbance. (if you want to know more about

this, take my class that I will start again at the end of January!)

You have to have a knowledge and openness to homeopathy to understand that.

Yes, antibiotics are harmful but you won't be able to convince your parents

of that with a few sentences.
