This is a very serious threat. I dont think we should wait to decide who to

voice our opinions to. We should be writing congresspeople and state reps.

If

enough of our voices are heard then maybe we can make a difference. We

should

write, email or fax any elected official who we can reach. It is not a good

strategy to wait and see what happens, hoping that people with ulterior

motives will make decisions that will meet our needs. By then it may be too

late. I think we need to let them know that 1) they are being

watched/monitored,whatever, and 2) that we will rally, protest, and

otherwise

fight to protect or civil liberties.

This week is busy for me, but next week, I can draft a letter that those

interested could send to their elected official. As always, any assistance,

input and resource info is greatly appreciated.

I go through my mail quickly because I get so much. I would like to help.

Could you spell out (I'm sorry if you already have) what to do - I'm in FL.

I wrote to my local congressman but haven't heard a peep back. Please let me

know and I'd gladly do anything to make a difference. I don't mean to make

light of it - but it is hard to believe they could actually force anyone to

vacinate like that - I don't doubt it....I'm a conspiracy theorist anyway!

My response to this:

I hear what all of you are saying. We do need to be involved and do

something! However I am not educated enough on the topics to be a " leader " .

Unfortunately I don't have the time to learn enough to be the one to get up

and present to media, etc....That would take years and I'm starting to learn

but it's not my expertise. I'm also not capable of doing all the wonderful

things that you all do as far as radio speeches, newspaper articles...etc...

I'm not a writer or speaker - by any stretch.

I think a lot of us are everyday Moms who are concerned about their families

- not professional leaders, political activists, or PR people.

If you all could make some realistic suggestions - copies of letters or

articles to send to newspapers, political people, etc. Or give us tasks that

are within our limited expertise to achieve - I think more people would be

willing to become more involved. It takes all types - leaders and followers.

Not all of us have the ability to be leaders. The leaders in this group

should S-P-E-L-L it out in terms that we can understand and achieve. Some of

the stuff I've seen circulated has done this (Sheri made a great list of to

do's) -- I've only been on the list 2 weeks so maybe this has been done 10

times over....

I'm more then willing to put in any time and effort, just not sure I have the

knowledge!

Thanks so much for all your support - without you guys the vaccine issue

would be a lost cause for sure.

Thanks, , for your suggestions and comments. My list of things

wasn't meant as a blueprint for what you should be doing, but just as an

example of what can be done.

If you want to read some letters, there should be examples in the archives

of letters I have written. I just sent a copy of the original letter I sent

the Wall Street Journal online and then what actually got published only a

couple of weeks ago.

Most of my Op Ed pieces can be found on my website, as can letters and

papers from other moms and dads.

What I suggest is that you read your paper everyday, and when there is

something about this issue in it that you can respond to, write a letter to

the editor, because it's really on the local level that we can make the

biggest difference. We have to raise the consciousness of the public and we

each have a very important role in doing that.

Please feel free to send me a copy of the letter to edit before you send it.

I will be happy to help you and anyone else.

By the way I'm not a professional at this - I'm a mom, too. Granted, I have

been at this a long time, and have a good deal of education which has been

of benefit here (a background in research in psychology), but we all have to

start somewhere. (And my kids are much older, one even in college, so I

have more time.) But, as they say, there is no time like the present!

I can see you are eager to get involved and am grateful to and thank you for

that. And to everyone else willing to do so.
