OT flu...stomach/chest pain

Ok guys I need your thoughts on this. I'm feeling way off - I have been

for about 4 days. I do have a bit of a dry cough/sore

throat/achey. Mostly though I have been getting pains around my breastbone

and surrounding...sort of crampy. it comes and goes but really bothers me

(like I can't get to sleep if it is going on).. I can't tell if it is

chest pain or stomach pain or both. I did have diarrhea all day the first

day of this. I feel totally stupid and really don't want to go into the Dr

and tell them that so they can look at me like I'm nuts. But since I've

been feeling fluish and watching all these news reports on TV it is making

me more anxious about it than I ordinarily would be. Dh seems to have a

head cold. The girls seem a bit off but nothing bad. My 8 mo old had some

diarrhea yesterday and was just slightly warm today but she is also cutting

some serious teeth right now.

Could stress be giving me these stomach/chest pains? I probably sound

totally stupid. But I'm wondering maybe could my stomach just be in

knots? And if we do have the flu (I am taking extra vit C and Oscillinum

or whatever it is called lol!) do I need to go in and make sure I don't

have anthrax? I guess I just need a bit of reassurence. Thanks so much.

Gosh, ,

All I can think of is the phrase " better safe than sorry? " Chances

are very small you would have it...but, you know, even the media is

saying they are expecting people to wonder about symptoms....so dont

feel bad at all! If it were me....well...Id go in, just for peace of

mind, if nothing else. Or....how about checking the www for info

about symptom, and if this progresses in the slightest wrard it, then

get yourself in? I hope your feeling bettter..(

Thanks ...I did end up going in when I started feeling really bad. No

flu...just an ulcer! UGH. Thanks

dear cindy, my family and i had the same problems for about a month. I had

horrible stomach cramping below the breastbone where I could not walk

sometimes. Had watery diarrhea and bad headaches. Sounds like everyone is

getting this bug lately. Be careful not to get dehyrated. I think that is

what caused my horrible head pains. Good luck. Bonnie
