DHHS Trial of Anthrax vaccine in children

The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) wants (and plans) to

conduct a trial of anthrax vaccine in children. A version of a parental

consent form for an anthrax vaccine trial was already tested in some

Washington DC public schools. See

It would be very helpful to tell your stories of anthrax vaccine problems to

the committee advising DHHS on the trial, as DHHS will probably not go ahead

with it if there is a public outcry. So far, despite my efforts, there has

been virtually no news about this and I have only received one letter from

the parent of a disabled veteran to give to the committee. The committee is

the National Biodefense Science Board. For more information:

I hope this group will help to stop this trial from harming children --

before it starts. Right now, the vaccine is not licensed for use in

children. After this trial, it will be.
