combat-related is an insult to everyone who has served in the military since

Sept. 11, 2001 ( " Caution flag raised on mandatory anthrax vaccine, " Oct. 29).

Many soldiers have been required to receive the vaccine as part of their

military duty.

Soldiers like DeGuire deserve not only our respect but the best care

our wealthy nation can provide. The Disabled Veterans Tax Termination act,

pending before a House subcommittee, is a start. Notably absent from the article

was a statement from any Wisconsin legislator taking up this cause.

For the vast majority of us who have sacrificed so little, it's the very least

we can do for those who give so much.
