Guest guest
There was a little confusion on the end of the public comment period generated from this statement in the below UPI article: " The U.S. Food and Drug Administration, in another step toward reopening a controversial military anthrax vaccination program, will seek public comment within the next week on the vaccine itself. Myself and Kirt Love called the FDA and spoke with a McKeever. She stated she didn't know why the article read this, and that the public comment period is ending on March 29th, 2005. As an FYI, I was told that the FDA is getting called regarding the " one week comment period " as a result of the article, so some people are at least paying attention to this. If you email, do send it return-receipt to make sure it was received. The FDA rule that will include public comment details the history of the vaccine, including the Defense Department's involvement in its development and the fact the vaccine proposed for use today is not the one actually used in a key test.
