Guest guest
Of interesting note.... we had an individual who sent the address of the petition off base to a couple of individuals. Our commander approached this individual and questioned if they did it. The response was " yes, is there a problem with that? " And the answer was " yes there is " . But, that was the end of the conversation. Now first off... one now has to ask: If this petition went to people off base, how would the commander know about it? Answer: Computers/e-mails are now being monitored. Second off: If it appeared in Stars and Stripes, obviously people are going to get access so what's the big diff? Third off, considering that at our base at least, there's no " official policy " on email usage about Anthrax, how can this actually be " a problem " ? Anyone else out there having any problems with emails being monitored? If not, here's a head's up for you. There was a letter in the Stars and Stripes that gave the address to sign the petition. If people don't hit the site, the DOD will probably say, " we gave them the address, and they didn't sign the petition " . They will use this to reinforce their lies and deception. Guest guest
One other issue is don't use government computers to do any of this. They can then get you for misuse of government property under UCMJ. Dave Re: Stars and Stripes From: Randice1@... Guest guest
To combat the misuse of government computers. Just copy the cookies from all of your work computers and should they press the issue, they will have to hang everyone. Your logon name is right next to the site you went to. I know in the Air Force, sites like hotmail are a no no.... They would shoot themselves in the foot if they tried to enforce a misuse charge, and I am sure the commander would get nailed as well. Guest guest
List: Someone, and I believe it was (don't quote me) forwarded an Article to the list from Stars and Stripes where it had Zaid's petition in it. If you have that still, can you please forward it to me. Thanks Randi
