Guest guest
To All! By now you have read Mark Zaid's email. My son Austin is one of the Marines he is representing at Twentynine Palms. has done nothing wrong as all these young people have done nothing wrong. They do not deserve to be punished for not wanting to be guinea pigs. does not drink, smoke or cuss. He has been able to resist all negative influences in the Marines and they respect him for it. He does not do things that hurt his body. His good record in the Marines evidently counts for nothing now. It was only God's intervention that kept from taking these shots. If one Marine (who later took the shot) had not told of the dangers, would have taken the shots without question. I was praying God would intervene again before it went this far but he has a bigger purpose for that I cannot understand. We are not destitute but I cannot come up with large sums of money on the spur of the moment. I have sent $1000.00 and I had to borrow that. I will contact the area churches and have Mark's email put in three area papers that I know will print it. If any of you have any ideas on fund raising that is quick and easy let me know. Please if you can donate to The Madison Project for these young men I would be forever grateful. One of the Marines parents have disowned him because of this. His dad or step-dad is a high ranking Navy officer and he is an embarrassment to him. Another one of the Marine's mother, uncle, sister, and brother lost everything they had in the Oklahoma tornado and he has a baby on the way. I think it is wrong that everything in this life comes back to money. But it seems we can't accomplish much without it. Please if you can find it in your heart to donate any amount it will be helpful. I have never begged for anything in my life, but I am begging for my son's life. He wants to be a police offer when he gets out. He has always liked helping people with their problems. If you cannot donate please pray for these young men. We feel Mark Zaid is a God send. He has taken on 7 Marines with limited funds. He should not have to pay for any of this out of his own pocket. I will do my best to see that he doesn't. entered the Marine Corps on his 21st birthday, refused the shot on our 27th wedding anniversary, his separation package was denied on my oldest sons birthday. My birthday is coming up July 23. I would really like for him to be home by then and for his future to not be completely ruined. I have been fighting this on a daily basis since Jan. 29, 1999. And have made many good friends in the process. I was hoping it would be over by now. I know many of you have been fighting this longer than I have and are also weary of the whole thing. Whatever the outcome of this trial, it will effect your loved ones as well. Hopefully the outcome will be a good one.
