Guest guest Posted November 29, 2003 Report Share Posted November 29, 2003 I have just been told by an opthamologist that I have Blepharophimosis and I have been online at several sites trying to get a better understanding of the disorder. After reaing I see that I do have most to all the descriptions of the disorder. Last year an optician tried to convince my doctor that I would benefit with better vision from surgery to lift my eyelids but my doctor only saw it as " cosmetic surgery " and would not consent to it. I have the type of insurance where you have to get a consent from your main docotor before any surgery. I want to know if anyone else was having problems getting their insurance to cover the surgery and also what is the normal cost and recuperation time.
