I do not fault anyone for taking the anthrax shot. Being in the

military is almost like being in prison. You are trapped and have no

where to go. It is really scarry when they threaten you with all kinds

of punishments and they have the ability to carry them out. It just

makes me so angry that our young people have been put in this situation.

It should never have happened.

I sent a letter to the editor of our local newspaper. He wants to do

the story. I go talk to him this afternoon.

Since five refused the shot at 29 palms they have put their names up on

the bulletin board. They have now scratched off one name and they are

taking bets on who will be the next one to change their mind and take

the shot. But the ones who have taken the first shot are to get a

second one today. I hope some of them that did not have a pleasent

experience with the first one will refuse.

But whether they are taking the second shot or have refused they want us

to continue the fight. So we are fighting for all of them.

They announced our meeting on the 22nd on the front page of the local paper

today. I faxed them a flyer a couple days ago. No one from the paper has

called though.

Who is this judge? So much for " justice " , when the judge can't even be

fair-minded. They are " making an example " of these young men for their

present members' benefit. They can't have mutiny in the ranks. They are

trying to stop any reports or general publicity, because they know it will

hurt their recruitment efforts. How could any reasonable person want to

enlist after seeing what they do to decent members who have done nothing

wrong or illegal? What a travesty.
