Update on Garrett

Just wanted to fill everyone in on what's going on with Garrett. Well, as most of you know he had surgery last Friday. Wednesday morning when he woke up he had dried blood all over his fingers. Good thing he had a post - op appointment with the surgeon. Well, to me it looked like he had picked some of the skin up that had stitches in it. When i took him in for his appointment i told the surgeon what he had done. He looked at it and said it looked fine and that it may just be thick skin. I told him that it hadn't looked like that until that day. Today he went back into the hospital to have his stitches taken out. When the surgeon was finished he came out into the waiting room and told me that everything looks good, but that he had broken 2 of the stitches. He said that the corners had already started closing when Garrett broke the stitches so he really didn't want to fix the skin that was sticking out. It looks like a little skin tag. He said that it might heal itself as time goes on but if not then they will fix it in 4-6 months when they do the surgery to raise the eyelids. He had to have done it in his sleep because when he went to bed that Tuesday night it wasn't like that. Can't really say much to him if he did it in his sleep, but i'm just praying that it heals itself. The left eye looks great, but the right eye had that little skin that is sticking out. They'll have to fix that because i won't let him grow up with the skin sticking out like it is.

I may have my husband talked into getting me a new scanner. I had printed him some directions to a soccer field for his soccer game tomorrow and he needed one more printed. Well, of course i didn't save the directions after i typed them because he told me i only needed 3. When he asked me to print him another copy i told him i didn't have it anymore. He then said "can't we just scan it?" That's when i said "i've been telling you for months i needed a new scanner" Hopefully i'll be able to get one this weekend and i'll finally be able to scan some pics
