Guest guest
I don't know where I have introduced myself so I am sending this in case I haven't introduced myself formally in the group. My name is Denene and I am a 45 year old married woman that was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia about a week ago approx. I am in a lot of pain all over and have also nerve damage and nerve disease of some kind the other doctor said, I just recently changed doctors and he diagnosed with this and took 3 years to get a diagnosis but glad I have one and now can learn more about it and how to cope and learn what I could be facing in the future as well. I have a stimulator for helping the lower back pain but it works only for a short time then doesn't help and I go back in and get it adjusted works for a short time again. I have had some help with heat and also now found a heating blanket at night helps some too. I am on some medication but will have to see if the dosage is not right or what because it isn't do a thing for me. I have a medical alert service dog for my diabetes and also helped with mobility too some. She is now semi retired working at home only and does medical alert only due to hip issues herself. I am training another lab a black lab " Bruno " to be my service dog to help with me mobility wise but he is also taken on medical alert too some thanks to Lady teaching him. He already picks things up that I can't bend over to pick up, things to low for me to reach, helps with the laundry getting clothes and giving me them to put in the washer and then gets them out of the dryer for me and I put them in the basket. He pulls the basket to me wherever I am so I can fold them. I am working on teaching him to drop the clothes in the basket for me. He also will brace so I can get up from a sitting position, if I have so much pain in my legs or back he will brace for me so I won't and help me down if I do keeping the inpact to the ground softer so I won't hurt myself. If I hurt he will lay his head on me and I will pet him forgetting the pain and or tell him how I hurt he is a good listener and compassionate. Well I have rattled enough. I look forward to meeting you all and being a part of a awesome group I can already tell that. Thanks for the welcomes and I will close for now and get me some sleep.
