Guest guest
I had my first surgery in 1968 when I was five. I have very poor vision in my left eye and almost perfect vision in my right. The ptosis in my left eye was worse than the right, and the left pupil was not exposed enough to develop properly, therefor, my right eye became dominant. I have recently found that had my left eye been addressed at an earlier age, ie: sling surgery, I would probably have decent vision in both eyes. I look at the outcome of the surgeries that are being done now and am amazed. Even Marla and Hannah, which were done sometime ago, incredible. Hannah, the scar on your leg is an eighth the size of mine. In 1968 they made an incision from above the kneecap to the upper thigh. I am not sure why it had to be so long? Seems a bit excessive to me. If I would have had a child with BPES, (I could not due to POV) I would at least try for surgery to expose the eyes as much as possible at the earliest age possible. The cosmetic surgery can come later, but once the vision is impaired, its lost. Good luck with your little one.
Guest guest
Dearest Dawn: My doctors always take me of prednisone before any surgery. In my opinion. every woman should be treated with antibiotics before being explanted. My plastic surgeon did not treat me with antibiotics and I had a very bad infection in my right breast. It had swollen and had a red line across it, my own doctor put me on antibiotics immediately. I think that it might be best to talk to your doctor about this...love always....Lea ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~``````````````````````` Questions???? > > > Hi Everybody, > > I have a couple of questions and thought you all may know the answer > to them.
