Ptosis is just the low eyelids, BPES is Ptosis-Epicanthus Inversus

Syndrome. When i was told what me and my kids have i was told Ptosis

associated with blepharophimosis.

Daisy,

I know it's confusing. I was just told in July I believe it was that what me and my kids had was BPES. I was always told just ptosis. I had told the surgeon that I found a ptosis group online and he said that's not what your family has what you have is called blepharophimosis. Now after all these years i'm just learning about BPES. It is confusing and alot to take in. I'm just glad that all the surgeries are about done. We're hoping just one more for my youngest son and i'm going to try and get that done when he's on spring break from school. It usually doesn't go the way i want it to though, but i guess i'll find out in January when i take him back in for a checkup.

Ptosis (droopy upper eyelids) is the 'P' in B-P-E-S.
