Katy, sorry to take so long in getting back. Its been realy tough for

sales. And this weather is not helping aat aaalll. As you know, I pulled

out of the one coop at the end of Dec. The other, well who wants to go out

in this weather to shop? Not many, I know I dont. I also went into a

consigmnent deal in mid December and so far that had been ok. Im not sure

what sales were in Jan as of yet. They usualy start picking up closer to

easter time. If its not costing you anything to be in Village Gifts, and

she is treating you right, why not stay? The way I see it, my stuf is not

going anywhere if its just sitting in myliving room.

One thing that is gonna make it hard too is that Kodak will be under layoffs

and threats of layoffs for the next three years I heard.

Shaye

Re: Katy

Hi Shaye....to be honest, I haven't been out there for a couple of months.

I hadn't really sold much so I know my stock's not low but I really need to

get out there to see what the stand looks like. Last time I went, she had

some of her buy/sell stuff all over my stand. Sure doesn't seem like

business has been booming though and I keep thinking maybe I should pull

out. It's not really costing me anything to leave my stuff there though

since I do consignment so that's why I'm trying to be patient. This time of

year is always very slow but I didn't even do as much at Christmas as I

normally do and heard other vendors say the same. She's got people coming

and going constantly (you only have to sign 3 month contracts) and it's not

all handmade. How's business in the co-ops that you're in?

Katy

Hey Katy, hows things going at Village Gifts? I almost stopped in there

last week but I was on a mission. Do they get a lot of turn around at

the

beginning of the years?

Ice fishing - WOW. I love to fish in the summer on the lake but have

never tried ice fishing. Did you have one of those huts to stay out of

the elements or just sit on a chair on the ice? That's the only part

that would make me nervous.....going out on the ice!! Did you catch

anything? (besides a cold? hehe)

Re: Breaking the Silence...

I agree ! At least it's getting a little warmer and we've had quite

a few days in a row where the roads were good to travel on. I travel

alot in my job and for awhile there I thought I was going to have a

nervous breakdown just thinking about getting in that car again! :-) I

told my husband that I was really feeling the winter blues this year and

needed Spring to get here quick! He told me, pretty bluntly, that it's

going to be more than a month for that and I might as well enjoy this

weather since there's nothing I can do about it. I gave in and went ice

fishing with him on Sunday. Had a blast! I just need to force myself to

get out and do that more often and then maybe I'll get through this. :-)

I just really, really need to see some earth instead of all that white

stuff!

Katy

I'm so TIRED of this

cold cold weather and feeling depressed.

lol! Yeah, he's pretty obsessed with ice fishing so we have the shanty, heater,

chairs, etc... I bought him an underwater camera for Christmas so it's lots of

fun to watch the fish come up and check out your bait! Believe me, I'm a big

chicken so I don't get out there on the ice until I've seen people riding 4

wheelers across it for a month or so. :-)

Kae & everyone,

Thanks for letting me share my excitement over my new puppy! He is still a

sweetie and is growing way too fast. My other dogs are finally warming up to

him (now that they know he's not temporary :-) and things are beginning to

feel " normal " in our house again. I gave my daughter a Persian kitten for

her 16th birthday so we're having lots of fun getting everybody acquainted!

:-) I just uploaded a couple more pics if anyone wants to take a look. The

kitty's name is Theodore and he is a purring sweetheart!

dark hair?)

If so, are you doing it again? It is such a rat race.

Hi Deb,

I don't think we ever got to meet because you weren't in your booth when

I came by and I think your husband may have come by mine but we were

having a lighting problem in that tent and I probably never saw him! :-)

But, yes, I was at LAF maybe 2 years ago? I haven't done it since.

Mainly because it's right after our Grape Festival here in Naples and

it's so hard to have enough stock after that one. That's my best show

and I'm usually exhausted for a month afterwards! :-) I would like to

try and get back to LAF as a customer some year though. Lots of

fantastic vendors at that one! Good luck this year!

Hi Katy

Congratulations on becoming a grandmother soon. I certainly enjoy being

one myself. I can't seem to get enough of my granddaughter (hehe). It's

such an enjoyable part of my life. I find that if I'm feeling " down " she

just perks me right up. And it's great that we can spoil them and send

them home. I babysit at least one day a week if not more. She loves

coming to " Gammy's " because we have an inground pool and she's already a

little fish. I hope your daughter has an easy pregnancy and delivery.

My belated news

I'm a little late with the news but....I'm going to be a Grandma! My

daughter and her boyfriend are expecting a child in September. Not the

way I would have wished for things to happen for her but, since there's

nothing I can do about that, I can only think about how excited I am to

have a baby in my life! The strangest part of all of this is that she

didn't even know she was pregnant until the beginning of June. She

thought she was gaining weight but was still having her cycle. She

didn't stop that until June and that's when she took a pregnancy test

and it was positive. Since then, she's grown like crazy and is very,

very big all of a sudden. They've done an ultrasound and it's a boy!

He's healthy from what they can tell. Measurements are good, heartbeat

is good. She and her boyfriend are very excited about this but a little

overwhelmed too. They are both 20 and working at full time jobs but

there's alot for them to think about very quickly (marriage, making ends

meet, etc..). I'm sure they'll get through this and of course they've

got Grandma to help out! :-) Just wanted to share with my CNY buddies!

Thanks, Kim! Yeah, he's fine now. I probably overreacted because the vet

thinks it was several bee stings but he looked awful! I worry about him

more than the others because he's 10, has epilepsy (is on phenobarbytal

for that) PLUS he's always been " my " dog. :-) He's a sweetheart.

Benadryl and Etogesic did the trick for him.

Hi Katy! Sorry if I wasn't clear - what I meant was, if you getnew stability ball dvd/vhs workouts, please reviewthem and go into detail what they are like. It's sohelpful for the rest of us so we don't inadvertentlypuchase a workout that might be mediocre! I happen to like ball workouts very, very much, andwould love to know what you find!Have fun!

Hello Katy,

Welcome aboard. It's nice to meet you.

I see you to have had your struggles along the way. I always wish that

it would be a great idea for doctors to live with just one day of the pain that

so many of us have had to endure for sometimes weeks, months and years on end.

Boy how things would change rapidily.

Thank you for sharing your story. It helps so many people along the way. I

thinks it's so important not to give up hope. There is always tomorrow, you

never know what they may discover tomorrow.

Here's hoping you stay " Stimulated Happy " for many more years to come.

Warm Cheers

> First off, I would like to introduce myself - my name is and I live in

the beautiful state of Utah and I am 38 years old.  Having only lived here just

under 2 years, I was originally from Northern CA.  Primary reason for the move

was because of my having RSD/CRPS and the need to be closer to my parents.

>

> I was injured on the job back in 2001' and diagnosed with RSD in 2003' once

the insurance company finally approved my claim, the RSD had already reached

stage 4 and was moving from my wrist up my left arm.  I now have RSD in my left

arm, hand, shoulder, neck, upper and lower back, and feet.

>

> After fighting the insurance to pay for actual medical treatment, not just

drugs, we won in court and I was scheduled for a scs trial in 2007'.  It was a

huge success.  I was so excited and was so bummed they had to take it out!!!  I

was scheduled for the implant with the leads several months later and had

nothing but problems with it after that.  The leads migrated, my Dr. believes,

on the operating room table, and I was getting major " shocks " throughout my

entire body from the electrical current.  Talk about zingers!!!  If I moved my

head to the left I would get shocked down the right arm, if I moved my head to

the right I would get shocks to my left arm.  It was crazy.  After well over a

year of this I asked to have the scs removed and they did it here in Utah.

>

> Since that time I have had 2 intrathecal pumps fail because of infection.  One

of the infections almost cost me my life as it turned into spinal meningitis.

The spinal headaches were horrid and something I never want to live through

again.  As you can see, this past year has been a doozy for me and I am a bit

nervous as far as what is about to come.

>

> As of today, I am scheduled for a scs trial on Friday the 23rd.  My Dr. here

is playing things very conservatively because of all of the problems I have had

in the past (He is not the Dr. that implanted the original scs, nor did he

implant the pain pumps...).  I was scheduled two weeks ago for the trial surgery

but he cancelled because my potassium was too low (2.5).  He has sent me to get

tested for allergies for every component of the scs, and has ordered an MRI to

make sure there isn't too much scar tissue.  Those results will be coming in

today, so trust me when I say I have been saying my prayers.

>

> If all goes well with the trial on Friday, I will have the scs implanted with

paddles on November 5th.  This will be done in the hospital and I will be

admitted for several days as I have a seizure disorder that is brought on by

acute pain and stress and I have a very high pain medication tolerance because I

have been on them for so long for the RSD.  They will monitor me and keep me as

comfortable as possible post op.

>

> Okay, enough for now...  LOL - As you can see I am a bit nervous and curious.

I thank you so much for allowing me this wonderful opportunity to join this

group.  I do hope and pray that each of you has a low pain day and that your

scs's are running beautifully for you!!!  Again, thanks for taking the time out

for the newby!!!
