Guest guest
Hi ......you can also click on the link for 's Creative Molds and see the lotion bar molds about half way down the page. They fit perfect in RaDe's 2 oz. tins. Here's the link http://www.soapymolds.com/index.html#top . Did anybody see those pedestal soap dishes he's got? Wow! Beautiful but pricey! My Dad makes some of mine so I just emailed him the link as a hint! ;-) He uses cedar for his but the alder looks nice! Guest guest
Katy I knew I had seen that lotion bar mold some place. I was on 's site yesterday looking for small wedding molds for wedding shower soaps I got a job to do. I love that lotion bar mold. I guess I'll be getting that soon. Regarding their wedding molds, I was shocked that most of them only come in "single" cavity molds. I've got to make 120 soaps and the only mold that has multiple cavities is a bride and groom. WHY wouldn't they have made them in molds other than single cavity. I even emailed Lorie at 's to make sure and to see if they planned on having them in multiple cavities and she said there are no plans in the works. How ridiculous!! Do any of you girls have any favorites you've used or seen for wedding showers? Luckily I have until April to start making them. I spent a couple of hours hunting the internet yesterday and bookmarking ones I found that the girl might like but I was hoping to find more of a selection. ummm...just chatty this morning!> good morning everyone!!!> how is everyones day so far?> i am procrastinating getting my butt moving for the day. maybe after> one more cup of coffee. lol> our tins haven't come in yet so we can't do that tattoo guys order.> so i have been puttering with other stuff.> lotion bars....i have a handful of repeat customers who love the> lotion bars but they don't want them in deodorant tubes. they like to> pick the whole thing up a use it. so, how do i package these things?> right now i have been putting them in zip lock bags and sticking our> label on the bag. the bag gets pretty yuckie looking after a while.> so here's my idea last night. i was looking at my emtpy altoids tin> and an idea hit. i could paint the outside of the tin, slap our label> on the top, and put the lotion bars in them. i can't just pour the> lotion bar stuff into it, cuz then you can't pick the bar up. so i> went into my husbands work shop and looked around. i wonder if latex> chalking would work for me to make a mold of the inside of the tin??> if it works, my theory would be that i would have a mold for the> lotion bar that would be slightly smaller then the tin so you can pick> the whole bar up. i am inpatiently waiting for the chalk stuff to> dry. i spread it pretty thick so it was still tacky this morning.> what do you all think? is it too far hairbrained to work?> gotta go jump in the shower now.> have a bubbly day!!> lyn>>>>> Our Message Board> http://www.voy.com/21568/>> Check out these great Molds!!> http://soapwerks.com/martinworld.htm>> Member Kae's Site... Guest guest
Katy Thanks - I'd love a little "sniffy" when you get a chance. Murray 4 Armory St Ilion NY 13357 Thanks so much!! Shaye - Red Clover Tea Shaye, Just wanted to tell you about my Red Clover Tea soap. I changed mymind. I love it! My house smelled great yesterday and I just took the logout of the mold and it looks nice. I'm really liking this fragrance now. Itworked beautifully in CP. No acceleration or anything. I am very "swirlchallenged" and usually when I want to swirl, the fo ends up either seizingor speeding up trace so I end up with a mess. I used violet ultramarine tocolor a portion of the batch purple and had plenty of time to swirl. The fohas a little color to it so the white part of the batch is more a creamcolor but I still like it. This is a great soap for Spring. I'm glad Ibought the fo. Also, has anybody tried Magnolia Melba from Tony's? That'sanother of my new Spring favorites and I highly recommend it!KatyOur Message Boardhttp://www.voy.com/21568/Check out these great Molds!!http://soapwerks.com/martinworld.htmMember Kae's Site... Guest guest
Katy, I have a Nirvana soap also!!!!! One of the scents I use is also clary sage, but the other EO's are different. Guest guest
Cheryl, That IS funny! My daughter thought I was naming the soap after the band, Nirvana. I thought about " Utopia " first but then changed it to Nirvana. This was one of my first soaps years ago and I didn't think it would be as well liked as it is. It's very different, that's for sure! Guest guest
Katy, Yeah, When I named mine I was thinking of the 60's hippy style " Nirvana " because it smelled so great! (Peace man and all that!!) The band Nirvana was my kids thing! That was also one of my own first scent mixes! We must have been on the same wavelength!!! Take care, Cheryl > >
Guest guest
Oh, I HAD that site bookmarked at one time but must never have put in My " favorites " when I got my new computer. Guest guest
You¡Çre right. It¡Çs much better watching it with someone. My daughter will be watching with me but I really hope Joe will leave work early. Does your Aunt live in Kansas or is there another reason she¡Çs a Kansas fan? Guest guest
Boy, we sound like two of a kind. My husband isn¡Çt as loud as I am but he sits on the edge of his seat and leans from side to side like he¡Çs steering the players. He does this with football, too. I told him last night some time he¡Çs going to tip right over. He said he doesn¡Çt even realize he¡Çs doing it. He was a quarterback in high school so maybe he thinks he¡Çs still playing (hehe). Guest guest
Katy I just got this computer about 6 months ago and it came with Microsoft Word 2002 which uses Outlook Express for the email. I'm not sure if other email systems do this but when I write emails it uses Word for writing. At least that's the way I understand it. Does this give you any clues as to what the problem is? I don't know what would have changed to all of a sudden start causing this weird problem, though. Re: Dee , What email software do you use? Outlook? Outlook Express? Something else? Guest guest
, I agree with nne and her husband. If you're using Outlook Express, go to Tools, Options and click on the Send tab. Down at the bottom, click on Plain Text rather than HTML and see if that helps. Since you got it only 6 months ago, is your operating system XP? Just curious. Let us know how it goes! Guest guest
Katy Yup, it is XP and I'm still not used to it. I went from using Windows 95 to this and hate it. I guess you can't teach an old dog new tricks, right? Before I do what you suggested below I found where I could change from HTML on specific email addresses so I just changed our group. We'll see how that works. Re: Katy , I agree with nne and her husband. If you're using Outlook Express, go to Tools, Options and click on the Send tab. Guest guest
Katy I clicked on Tools and Options but there's no Send Tab where you can change to Plain Text there. I found in the tool bar where you can change it though. But if that solves the problem I'll have to remember to change it every time I write an email. Oh, well. I still think that it's something else going on. Re: Katy , I agree with nne and her husband. If you're using Outlook Express, go to Tools, Options and click on the Send tab. Guest guest
, You probably have a newer version of Outlook Express than me. My laptop for work has XP on it with the latest Outlook but I don't have it set up. I'll check it later and see what's different. Look below though.....your email came to me without the double spacing. I'd be interested to hear what those that were seeing the characters are seeing in this message. Don't worry too much about it. Guest guest
I saw the c's and the double spacing too. Shaye Re: Katy , You probably have a newer version of Outlook Express than me. My laptop for work has XP on it with the latest Outlook but I don't have it set up. I'll check it later and see what's different. Look below though.....your email came to me without the double spacing. I'd be interested to hear what those that were seeing the characters are seeing in this message. Don't worry too much about it. Guest guest
Katy Thanks for the offer to check it out on your laptop. Yup, I see my email didn't double space but it's not exactly the way I typed it either. It always appears like I hit the " enter key " after typing a few words and goes down to a new line. I don't do that but it shows up that way. Oh well, like you said....no big deal. It's just annoying!! Re: Katy , You probably have a newer version of Outlook Express than me. Guest guest
Thanks, Bekka. My oldest daughter's friend passed away today at 2:00. She never regained consciousness. The other 3 in the car had serious injuries as well and one has just been moved to ICU but they seem to think they'll be ok. Lots of surgery today. My heart just breaks for those families and for my oldest who is away at college and would rather be home. Life is short....... Katy Prayers to the families and teenagers involved in the accident. There is absolutely no need for apologies in sharing something that is heart-felt for you. I do know that fear when one of the kids begin driving, I said a lot of prayers ((warm huggs)). Thoughts with you, Katy. Bekka

Guest guest
Hi Shaye....to be honest, I haven't been out there for a couple of months. I hadn't really sold much so I know my stock's not low but I really need to get out there to see what the stand looks like. Last time I went, she had some of her buy/sell stuff all over my stand. Sure doesn't seem like business has been booming though and I keep thinking maybe I should pull out. It's not really costing me anything to leave my stuff there though since I do consignment so that's why I'm trying to be patient. This time of year is always very slow but I didn't even do as much at Christmas as I normally do and heard other vendors say the same. She's got people coming and going constantly (you only have to sign 3 month contracts) and it's not all handmade. How's business in the co-ops that you're in? Katy Hey Katy, hows things going at Village Gifts? I almost stopped in there last week but I was on a mission. Do they get a lot of turn around at the beginning of the years?
