I

know you’re scared, but just take it once day and one step at a

time. We’re here for you and you just need to stay calm until all

the tests are done. (Easy for me to say, I know) I kept my secret

at work for a long time because I was afraid my boss would fire me and I wanted

to “prove myself” on tx before I told him I was on a chemo-like

program.

You

can vent to us anytime, but I’d have snapped at your hubby, too. It

DOES NOT MATTER how any of us got the damn virus. And the possibilities

are too endless to be 100% sure most of the time anyway. How do we know

that every dentist we ever went to used good sterilization procedures? We

just don’t know. And if it did, it still wouldn’t matter.

It only matters that we’re stuck with it now and we have to deal with it

the best way we can in our own ways. And our loved ones need to

understand that and deal with it the best way they can, too, because it could

have just as easily been them. Guess what? The surgeon who took out

my gall bladder several years ago had to quit being a surgeon because he found

out he had hcv. Hmmm, did he give it to me? Did I give it to him?

Does any of that matter and is any of that productive thinking? We both

have it and the only thing we can do is move forward.

update

Hi group, Well I made it

to my new liver doctor today. Seems to be a

nice doctor. He is moving things pretty fast now. I will be scheduled

for a egd (esophagogastroduodenoscopy)for this week. And scheduled

for

my biopsy for next week. (SCARES ME TO SHED TEARS).I also went for

more blood work today to get my genotype, platelet count ect.. He

seems to think i'm already in the early stages of cirrosis. I don't

know what that will mean for me as treatment goes. But we should be

discussing a treatment plan within a month he said. ( If i'm able to

recieve it ) Well it just felt good to type this out instead of

talking personally to someone about it.I hope I can go back to work

tomorrow and hold it together. Thanks hepper friends for letting me

vent. I know I already snapped at my hubby today. Should have been a

little nicer but he commented on my tattoo and how that was the cause

of my hcv. My tattoo came from my wild early years of life. Oh well

i'm venting again . I will give it a rest and focus on the important

stuff. THANKS AGAIN FOR THE SUPPORT>>>> DEANNA ( AKA ) Dee

...I haven't been able to work and it's been over 7 years. I still miss it

very much...I was a photographer, mostly portraiture. On the other hand I get to

be a stay at home mom, which is something I always wanted. This is my first

biological child, I also have 3 stepsons. I also get to be crowned a grandma in

January. Never expected to become a mom and a grandma in such a short time as 4

months, but I do love babies so now I get 2 with only 1 pregnancy...my body is

already thanking me for that one...LOL

I figure I have wanted to be a mom longer than I wanted to be a photographer, so

in the end it all worked out for me, plus I have the skills to take great

portraits of my own child...way cool.

To bad u can't work cause I could use a good massage...LOL

I will keep u all posted as to how the labor n delivery goes...no epidurals

allowed for me cause of the risk of infection with a foreign object inside me.

Looks like my options are down to natural, possibly some iv Meds, or sleep thru

a c-section and miss the whole thing. I'm shooting for natural with the possible

aid of Meds.

Since there is very little info about pregnancy and stimulators it should be a

real experience.

Wow Congratulations Deanne. I hope everything just zooms along for you.

That's my goal - to get off the meds, get back into walking. I'm not sure if

I'll ever be able to return to my job. Apart from being a farmer's wife. I was

also a massage therapist. It's been just over 18 months since I've been able to

work. I miss it so much.

But .... the flip side. Even If I can't get back to a few things I used to be

able to do - not having pain, or not having the amount of pain will make up for

it. I'll just have to find something else to do.

As the old saying goes " When one door closes another one opens "

Is this your 1st baby? You sound like your going to be a wonderful Mum.

Enjoy everyday, because before you know it. Your kids have left home, got

married and have a family of their own.

Huge thoughts of a wonderful start to your baby boy's welcomng to the world are

being sent to you.

Thank you as well for sharing your journey, in helping us " newbies " understand

and giving us hope that there is a light at the end of the tunnell

Nice to see you back again Deanna. How are things going with your beautiful new

son?

I hope your pacing yourself and not letting things get on top of you.

You'll have to post a picture so we can all see him.

Warmest Hugs
