Guest guest
I am considering having another surgery. I am 40 years old and am wondering if that is too old? Anyone have surgery as an adult. My last surgery was at about 18 years old. It was to tighten my lower lids since they were begining to pull away from my eyes. The surgeon @ University of Michigan Medical Center told me I would probably have to have this done every 10-20 years. Are there any BPES sufferers in the area of Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, or Indiana? If so, what surgeon did you use? I also had a smaller left eye and they did not perform surgery until I was about 5 years old. The delay in surgery cost me the vision in my left eye. Because the lid blocked the eyes ablility to see well, the right eye became dominant. I have minimal vision in the left eye, but would not be able to function as a sighted person if I had to soley depend on the left eye. I wear glasses even though visually I can see as well without them. They are more for protection. I also have a very flat nosebridge/brow area. It can be difficult finding glasses that work without a prominent nosebridge. As I have grown older, it seems like the bridge/brow area has filled in more. I will try to find some pictures and post them. My baby pictures resemble Nina's. I showed my mom a picture of Nina and she thought she was just beautiful. I also think I had the same glasses she is wearing, only I would not keep mine on. I wanted to ask Mara if she has always had the beautiful eyelashes. Mine are very sparse, and would love to have lashes like that. Thanks for all of your insight. I look forward to reading the messages everyday.
