Guest guest
My son has congenital bilateral ptosis. He can only open his eyes 2 - 3mm each. There is no family history. All of the doctors say that it is isolated to ptosis not blepharophimosis, but my son has small eyes horizontally and vertically. He also has a flat brow line, very faint eye brows and a wide gap between his eyes. I think he has blepharophimosis but the doctors only say that he doesn't look like it but he might. We are going for ptosis surgery July 1. Even with his eyelids opened as far as he can go, I don't think he looks normal. Is it possible to widen the length of his eyes? What surgery is available? Is there a test for blepharpphimosis or is it simple judgement?
