Guest guest
Tim, With your experience have you thought about contacting the " Underwater Centre " in Fort ? They are always on the look out for Standby divers while they have courses running. Normally what happens is the " Best recruit " from the previous course gets kept on and has the chance of earning a few quid before breaking their duck on their first diving job. However I am not sure if the money is fantastic! With your experience on the medical side aswell you should have no problems! I don't have a name I am afraid but the Telephone number is 01397 703786. I did a couple of days with them when I came out of the Army as I was considering " Blowing " my resettlement money on a Commercial Ticket. The set up is good, nice accommodation and they are normally busy with ROV courses, Wet and Dry Bell courses. They are the only Centre in the UK approved by the HSE to run Sat courses, so are fairly busy with divers coming and going. To be fair I have heard mixed feedback on the Centre but have always found them helpful enough. The only other thing I can think of is someone like Clydebank Diving (If they are still in business) they cover a lot of the construction diving jobs and may need someone of your experience? I don't have a number for them to hand I am afraid. Hope this helps and good luck!
