Guest guest
Hi Kathy, I just had to write in to congratulate you on your SSD hearing victory! It took me 2 1/2 years and I know how you were feeling when you went into the chambers. I was so intimidated even though there were only the 3 people there......just something about that Judge sitting behind that raised bench looking down on us! I am so happy for you. I think SS is so awful that they make us go through what we do and have to drag it all the way to court. If they would just meet with us themselves instead of just having a bunch of paper pushers somewhere stamping everything " Denied " it would save a lot of trouble and probably money for the government. But you made it and you don't have to worry any more. I have yet to hear anything more from my daughter today. So I don't know how things are going down in Beaumont. I know this group is about us and our back problems and stimulators/pain pumps, so I'm going to try to wait until I know what is going to happen before I update again. I just had to congratulate you, because I can remember my case. I did the same thing you did, when I walked out I asked my attorney " What just happened " and received the same response. What a wonderful feeling. You made it and now you can concentrate on your health, family, without this hanging over your head. You go girl!!!! Hello All, I finally have some good news to report for once. First I don't know how many of you know but I have been fighting Social Security now for 3 years to get disability and I have been denied over and over again till I finally had to get a lawyer. Well on December 22 I went to court to have my case go before the judge. I was so scared first when we got there the judge that was doing my case was running late then they told he was not going to be there at all, so I would be seeing the top judge that sees over all the other judges so now I was really really scared. My lawyer and I go into the room and there were 3 people in the room the judge a lady that types everything out and some kind of Job evaluation guy from there department. We sat down and the judge asked the Job Evaluation guy to leave he said he did not need him, and then he asked me my name, birth date and address. Then he asked my lawyer if she was ok with some coded that were for how to evaluate my spinal injury and then asked if she was ok with the date of November 2005 she said yes and he said Thank You have Good a day. I said Thank You back and he said there is know reason to thank me this is my job, I told him Merry Christmas and he said Thank You no really Thank You Merry Christmas to you too. As my lawyer and I were walking out I asked her what the hell just happened in there she said you won your case. She said the judge looked over your file and knew there was nothing to ask so he just approved it right away. I felt light a 100 lb weight had been lifted off my shoulders after 3 long years of fighting I have finally got what is due to me, I just sat down in the chair and cried. Now I just have to wait for all the paper work and stuff to come through and I will be set. And the other good news is my Family doctor has finally released me in good health to have to have my Pain Pump put in, So I will be going in on January 14 as an out patient I am so excited to finally get some pain relief and get off some of these pills that do nothing but make me sleep all the time. I just wanted to share my good news with all of you my extended family. Thank You for always being there for me.
