I don't know what a daily digest is? I didn't know there was a reason not

to, I'm sorry. I was just to confused.

In a message dated 8/22/2008 11:44:34 P.M. Eastern Daylight Time,

dotratz@... writes:

My doctor didn't put anything over the area he had sprayed but that could be

because it was on my lower abdomen rather than on my foot. All I know is

that it was a great relief not having to worry about how the tape was going to

effect me.

Just one word of advise, tell the doctor that you want plenty of the spray

but to please not get too liberal about where he is spraying it. My doctor got

a little carried away and some of the spray hit the skin on my upper abdomen

and then my breast got stuck to it. Fortunately it was right after surgery

and I was able to unstick myself.

Also, I know you addressed the comment to Kathy but thought I would tell you

why my posts don't show the post I am responding to. My settings also

automatically show the post that I am responding to but I then erase the

previous

post before sending mine. I do that because the people who receive the daily

digest with all the posts at one time don't have to read the same initial post

half a dozen times.

I think I understand what you are saying. Most of the time I have no

problem understanding what post is being responded to by the subject like but

occasionally, I will just bring up a subject in response to one that has

nothing

to do with what I am saying just because I don't think about starting a new

thread. You make a good point and I apologize for bringing it up. I just want

to be able to follow everyone's conversation. Who knows when I will have

something pertinent to add? My name is Jenn and I will try to remember to add

my name to the end of all of my posts from now on. I wish we just had a

collection of all of the things that make the posts easiest to read. Anyway, I

apologize for bringing it up. My intention wasn't to upset anyone, just to

make the posts more clear.

The Daily Digest is for people who want all the days posts sent to them at

one time rather than getting each post as it is sent in. It is sent out as one

email and contains everything that has been posted that day. Many times a

post may contain 3-4 responses to an original post and they all show up after

your post. That means that people receiving the Daily Digest may read the same

posts over and over.

I agree that sometimes Kathy's responses leave a person wondering what she

was talking about because they are so short although the chances are that the

person she is responding to will know what she is talking about. I try to

address my responses to the person that wrote the original post by name and

also

to mention what I am responding to. I did not address this note to anyone

because you did not sign your post and I don't know your name.

Hey Dorothy..

You are correct....when I send the short, few worded posts....the person I

am sending it to knows....as he or she just sent a post and I am answering him

or her.

I had to laugh though when you wrote my posts are so short...and then I knew

what you meant... since most of my posts are so long....I sometimes think oh

God...that was so long for them to read...LOL

Like I said to Jenn....who seems to get confused with my posts even when I

am answering her directly...that sometimes I get up to 200 posts per day,,and I

answer every single one...so sometime I go offline and then come

back...since I can't sit for too long with my back...and typing too long kills

my wrists

with the rsd in my hands...but then when I come back to it, I will try to

put some of the question or comment in my answer for all to understand and not

just that person.

thanks for bringing it to my attention.

The digest is a great idea, by the way.

As the co-owner, I can go into our files and look at all the days' posts at

once also...but I always forget this is available to me.

Gentle Hugs to you and all.

Hi Jenn,

I agree that it is sometimes hard to follow the conversations if no mention is

made to what the previous post was about but as you said, most posts make sense

to the person who sent in the original post. I subscribed to both the digest and

the non-digest posts from my support group which is where I learned how

difficult it was to follow what all was being said. It took me twice as long to

read the digest because of all the previous posts than it did to just read each

post as it came in.

You definitely did not upset me, can't speak for anyone else. Just wanted you to

know why I always delete any previous posts when I send something in. Hope noone

is upset by my response to you or for my reasoning.

Hi, Dorothy!

Yeah...I do the same thing...as I do believe most folks do...if you don't

understand the few worded posts....most likely it is to someone else and like

you said, you let it go at that....and you don't really need to know what it

means....so I really didn't even understand Jenn's point in the first place.

Anyway......I am so sorry about all your health issues....you are a very

strong and vibrant woman. You are a role model, as even though you have many

health problems, you are involved in a lot, and for that I honestly applaud

you.

I am sorry about your stroke and how it has left your hand, but applaud you

for typing and using the typing as therapy.

I know all too well about the typing being painful, but benefiticial toward

therapy from the RSD in both hands.

Have a nice night and it was really great to gab with you.

Gentle hugs to you and all,

Kathy,

I know that most of your posts are lenghty although very interesting but every

so often you throw in a one liner and if I don't understand it right away I tend

to assume that the person who wrote to you does understand and let it go at

that.

I am all too aware of getting tons of posts per day, besides the ones from this

website I also run my own support group and then of course there is always

personal mail. With my support group I nor anyone else reads the posts before

they are sent out to everyone else. Which means that I read them at the same

time as everyone; I usually answer all the posts that come through although some

don't need any comments from anyone.

Most of my posts have become somewhat limited due to the weakness that developed

in my left hand following my stroke although I find that the typing has improved

some of my dysfunction in that hand.

Kathy, Why are you so hateful? It is absurd the way you are dragging me

through the mud for a simple request. It hurts my feelings and I don't

understand it.
