Guest guest
Hello Charlotte. I have a 26 year old son with Down Syndrome and we just had him quality for medicaid at the end of Jan. 2008. We received a card for Nov and Dec and nothing since. I have tried several times calling and talking to his case worker but was only able to get an answer once from someone who told me my case workers name and spin down amount and transferred me to voice mail where I left a message over a week ago and was never called back. I am not sure how this works and the only real need I had was to be able to seek future living facilities which PACT could not help me without getting Medicaid. has Medicare A and B and has my insurance and prescription as secondary and a spin down of over $485.00 a month. (thank God) does not need any prescriptions and only goes to see a doctor if he is sick or needs a physical, so how do we ever meet that spin down? Is he canceled because we have not received any cards for Jan, Feb or March? I also just got a letter from Health and Human services saying that he is qualified for extra help paying your medicare drug plan cost but we do not have the Medicare drug plan as he is covered on my prescription plan. Why did I never get a letter from Medicaid explaining anything? Thank you, Shirley
