Yes , there are many people who are following the Moermandiet. Actuallly I also followed that diet and still do. But the Moermandiet is in a more modern version now named the Houtsmullerdiet. At my site I tell something about it also in english.

And please read my story , the story of Shjifra, )is partly ready and the lecture of Antoon, all in english. And at the page remarkable stories you can read also the story of the case M and other stories. And all followed the Houtsmullerdiet with nutritional supplements and all we survived at least much longer than doctors thought. Next wek i will place a public boarddiscussion on my site in english so if people are interested they can corespondent with others Many dutch people write and understand english.

And if you have questions plewase ask them and i will try to answer them.

colonics, kidney & liver flushes. Help Needed.

Can anyone give reliable specific info about the correct way to do colonics, as well as kidney and liver flushes?! I've read many times about the great things they can do to speed healing and boost/build the immune system.

I have a friend that apparently has the onset of cancer in his groin and intestines/stomach. He has begun a regimin of 5 tbsp flaxseed oil, 1/2 cup lowfat cottage cheese, 1/4 cup red raspberries, and 1/8 cup blueberries mixed together and eaten in small portions throughout each day. In the past 7 weeks he seems to be improving and having less pain and discomfort, except that he stays constipated most of the time. He is in fair health otherwise (50 years old, construction supervisor, family man, and struggling to have a decent life - - like most of us), except that he has a history of liver disfunction, an old low-back injury, and very high triglycerides (1383, compared to a normal max of 250). Although he was very athletic is past years, he has slowed down a lot now and has some dificulty just walking. He is about 5 ft. 11 in. and weighs around 230 lbs.

Does anyone have any positive suggestions for him?

Thank you very much.

Cody.

Kees,

Dr. Moerman was a fan of sulfur, iodine (as Lugol's solution), iron, citric acid, and large quantities of the citrus juices. There are constant debates about most of these, eg, sulfur in glutathione can help prevent cancer but it can undermine many therapies; many advanced cancer patients are anemic, but many cancer diets (such as Livingston's) specifically denounce the use of iron; Moerman referred as his diet as an acidic diet (and it is) but many wholistic practioners denounce acids, are confused about citric acid, and strive toward alkalinity.

Could you explain how the Houtsmuller diet differs and the rationales. BTW, who is Houtsmuller? Does he/she have as many followers as the Moerman diet?

I have no strong opinion about the value of the Moerman diet and I am unfamiliar with Houtsmuller other than what you have put on your web site.

Thank you,

Kees,

You probably have better access to info on Dr. Moerman's protocol than others on this list. What is your opinion? Are there many adherents in the Netherlands? Is there ongoing research?
