Guest guest
My limited knowledge of Chi machines is as follows and was obtained from my mother who owns one. She says Chi machines are for increasing circulation and releasing toxins from storage within your body. I guess this could be helpful in cancer on some levels. She uses her machine every day. I have used it a few times, but I don't like the affect I get. I think this is because I was recently taking a anti seizure medication that I had a very bad reaction to and although I am no longer sick from the medication I believe some of it is/was still left in my system when I used the machine. Using the machine made me feel just like I did when I had a reaction to the medication. That is my laypersons opinion. Also I should mention that Chi machines in general are not recommend for people with epilepsy, I do not have grand mal seizures so I tried it for only a short time while some one was with me. As far as the benefits of circulation and detoxification go, I think it is agreed on this list that those things are important, but there are other ways to do that throught diet, massage, exercise, sauna etc. >From: pjbittner@... >Reply-cures for canceregroups >cures for canceregroups >Subject: Re: Re: Chi Machine:Anti Cancer Tool? >Date: Sat, 20 Jan 2001 18:31:16 EST > >In a message dated 1/20/01 5:14:45 PM US Eastern Standard Time, >bobhurt@... writes: > >Hi,dont bet on it for cancer,i have one of those machines,i just dont see how >it could be a cancer therapy.and that is only my opinion. >pjbit. > > > > > Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com
Guest guest
I have a chi machine and I know of at least three persons who are/were fighting cancer that have made use of them. I cannot say that the machine has cured any of them in and of itself but they all observe the strong benefits of its regular use. within a healthy regime. My opinion is that the degree to which one benefits all depends on the stage at which its use is introduced. In general, I think it is important to understand the role oxygen plays in maintaining health. The chi machine's main benefit is that it delivers a superlative level of oxygen to the cellular level via the pathway formed directly to the various organs and muscles through the nervous system as it branches off the spinal column. Unlike other forms of oxygen therapy, which is at the very least questionable, it does so in a natural fashion. According to Professor Inoue of Japan, the machine's inventor some 10 years ago, it delivers the equivalent of a 90 minute brisk walk in only 15 minutes (during which you simply lie there and relax). Oxygen is the #1 element is our bodies when it comes to superlative health regulation. We can go for up to 4 weeks without food, 4 days without water, but only four minutes without Oxygen. Suffice to say, it is ranks as number one in providing the fuel to return the body to its natural and healthy state. The second benefit it the chi machine brings is relaxation. It has been said that the master cause of all dis-ease is tension (see how it is hidden in the wordx itself!). The opposite of tension is relaxation (dis-ease - ease). Most people I share the machine with have never experienced the level of relaxation that the enjoy when the massage is over. Third, to quote from the given site " CELLULAR ACTIVATION: Massage stimulation to the sympathetic nervous system opens up the bronchioles to provide maximum oxygen access to the lungs, simultaneously the blood flow to and from the lungs is increased, enhancing oxygen exchange from the lungs to the blood and therefore to the body cells, to excite cellular metabolism. " Cellular activation would surely include the cells famous for killing off the rougue cancer cells. -- In cures for canceregroups, " Angie " <AngeliqueW28@h...> wrote: >
Guest guest
Our good friends at WebMD have posted a " discovery " that seems to agree with what i was saying about the easychi.com Chi Machine. Wherever they write " stress " I would substitute in tension. It more clearly indicates what happens when you are able to RELAX. Neurotic People May Have Weaker Immune Systems Crabby, Nervous Folks Don't React to Vaccines as Strongly By Mann WebMD Medical News Reviewed by Dr. Craig H. Kliger Jan. 22, 2001 -- Adding to the growing evidence linking body and mind, new research suggests that moody, nervous, and tense people may have weaker immune responses than their calmer, cooler counterparts. In light of this finding, stress reduction techniques, including meditation, may be just what the doctor ordered. Researchers from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine came to their conclusion by studying the immune reaction of a group of young adults following their vaccination for hepatitis B -- a viral infection affecting more than 200,00 people in the U.S. each year. The same people were also administered a personality test. Researchers found that those people whose test scores marked them as anxious, nervous, tense, and irritable -- characteristics psychologists refer to as " trait negative " or neurotic -- tended to produce fewer protective antibodies and T cells in response to the hepatitis vaccines. " The study suggests that people high in [trait negative affect] are more prone to illness, " says lead researcher L. Marsland, PhD, RN, of the behavioral medicine program at the university's Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic. " [until recently], one of the main thoughts has been that such people just report more symptoms. But what this study suggests is they actually may be more susceptible to illness and infection. " Further study is needed to confirm these findings, she says. Marsland and colleagues discovered the correlation after administering a test in which participants were asked to choose adjectives that best described their personalities and then followed that up with a measurement of their immune response after two doses of the three-part vaccine. They reported their findings in the January issue of the journal Health Psychology. In a second experiment, the researchers videotaped participants giving a speech -- assumed to be a stressful activity -- and then measured their T-cell function in blood samples taken right before and 30 minutes after the speech. T-cells are one indicator of an immune system response. And while all study participants were found to have lower immune function as a result of giving the speech -- that is, in response to a stressful event -- those who had the greatest reduction in immune function also tended to have weaker responses to the hepatitis B vaccine, she says. " There is mounting evidence that stress reduction can enhance immune system functioning, " says McCain, RN, an associate professor of nursing at the Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. Richmond has spent the past 10 years researching the connection between stress and the immune system -- particularly in people with HIV, whose compromised immune systems making them more susceptible to all sorts of infections and diseases. While researchers are not precisely sure how stress affects the immune system, people who are more psychologically or physically stressed often have elevated levels of the stress hormone cortisol, says McCain, who was not involved in the Marsland study but provided WebMD with an independent assessment of the issues it raises. " Cortisol is primary and predominantly an immune system suppressant, " says McCain, who just this week began what will be a 5-year study of whether relaxation methods such as tai chi, meditation, and/or spiritual growth can enhance the psychological well-being and immune statuses of people living with HIV. In the new study, which is funded by the National Institutes of Health, McCain and her co-investigators will run a battery of tests measuring components of the immune system to determine how it responds to a given stress-reducing technique and to learn if any one approach is more effective than the others.
