Hello everyone,

Before I describe treatments for certain ailments I would like to focus upon the most important compound in existence.

The following passage is in my March 4, 1998 letter to Powter; to see more of the passage, refer to the posting, 'Thioproline/Glutathione:

" I wish to delve briefly into history.

About 15 billion years ago 'something' not much larger than the head of a pin existed. Some scientists say that the size could have been even infinitesimally smaller.

For some reason this 'something' exploded. The explosion is commonly known as 'The Big Bang'.

The resulting residue of that explosion is the universe we see around us.

Our universe is composed of billions of galaxies which are themselves composed of billions of stars.

In our own galaxy, 'The Milky Way', the star closest to us, other than the sun, is a little over 4 'light-years' away. Traveling by conventional means our space ship traversing the void at 25, 000 miles per hour would take over 100,000 years to reach that star.

About four and a half billion years ago our earth was formed. Between three and a half to four billion years ago the spark of life touched the earth.

Glutathione must have been present on the face of the earth when the spark of life manifested itself. "

In a December 30, 1999 posting to me Debbie Hamonic wrote:

" You are right we are born with glutathione. It comes into the world with us. This protein is in every cell. It was first discovered in 1888 by De-Rey-Pailhade and in the 1970's the power of it being a detoxifier as well as antioxidant of the cells was discovered. "

Ever since I wrote my letter to Powter, glutathione has been in the back of my mind.

However, it was Debbie's December 29 posting - 'Thioproline!!!' - which jolted me into the awareness of the overwhelming importance of glutathione.

For instance, ever since November, 1997, I have been proposing a treatment for cancer which employed 'mega-doses' of Thioproline and vitamin C and 'above average' amounts of magnesium, zinc and manganese.

Now I realize, because of Debbie's input, that I also should have been including a source of glutathione.

On December 30, Debbie posted to me the following information; 'GSH' is Glutathione:

" RAISING GSH LEVELS

GSH is a tripeptide-a protein made up of the three amino acids - in this case, glycine, glutamate (gluamic acid), and cysteine. This tripeptide cannot easily pass through cell walls, so it must be manufactured within the cell. This process requires dietary GSH - precursors. Glycine and glutamate are readily available in North American diets. but cysteine-containing proteins are harder to come by. Cysteine - a thiol amino acid - is responsible for the biological properties of the whole molecule. If sulfur-containing amino acids are not available, GSH formation is limited.

There are many facts and fantasies about raising GSH levels in the body, but few methods are demonstrably effective or reliable. Some are actually fraught with side effects. In order to take advantage of the great potential of GSH in health and disease the myths need to be dispelled and the realities clarified. "

" IMMUNOCAL "

Unless I become aware of a better source for glutathione, all of the treatments which I am about to describe will include Immunocal.

CANCER -

I believe that Cancer can be successfully treated with the chemical, 'Thioproline'; for sources of Thioproline, consult posting, 'Best censored story - still No. 1?'

I have suggested that Thioproline could be successfully 'whipped up in the kitchen'.

Professor Noel has aptly observed in his December 30 posting - 'Thioproline' - to me and to the group:

" To be suggesting patients whip up Thioproline in their kitchen is outrageous considering the negative results of the above research and the paper that I previously posted regarding CNS toxicity.

Formaldehyde is an extremely dangerous substance which is used to preserve dead tissue. To experiment on ones self with a kitchen home brew is courting disaster and I seriously suggest you stop making these suggestions to desperate cancer patients. "

S. - It has been my experience over the past two years to discover that public and private medical authorities have chosen not to communicate with me about the anti-cancer property of Thioproline (See last page of www.jsr1936.com; that stack of individual letters has grown larger since that picture was published on February 14, 1999).

In my opinion -

1. The cure for Cancer exists.

2. The medical profession of the world knows about it.

3. They are refraining from implementing it because they know it will destroy the multi-billion dollar cancer care industry.

I would feel derelict in my duty as a compassionate human being if I failed to utilize this public forum to alert the world of my opinion - a gross injustice is being perpetuated upon mankind by the medical profession.

If I have overstated my case - " Whip up the Cancer cure in the kitchen " - so be it. Something has got to be done to wake up the world to the fact that the medical profession has turned a blind eye to the cure for Cancer for the past 20 years.

At this time I would like to include some passages from www.jsr1936.com plus a few other observations.

www.jsr1936.com was first 'published' on The Internet in July, 1999.

My first posting to cures for canceregroups was on August 21, 1999; the title of the letter is 'Cancer cure? HIV/AIDS cure? Alcohol Abuse cure? Lou Gehrig's Disease cure? Macular Degeneration cure?

I subsequently discovered a possible cure for Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia (CML).

When I refer to www.jsr1936.com always refer to the page numbers on the left hand side; ignore the numbers in the upper right hand corner.

The formulation of Thioproline (Thiazolidine-4-carboxylic acid) is described on page 7 of www.jsr1936.com; it was done in 1936 by Ratner:

" Thiazolidine-4-carboxylic Acid. - The cysteine hydrochloride from 30 g. of cystine was dissolved in 100 cc. of water; 22 cc. of commercial 40% formaldehyde (1.1 mole) was added, and the mixture allowed to stand overnight at room temperature. On the addition of 25 cc. of pyridine, crystals soon separated. The whole was diluted with 50 cc. of alcohol and filtered. The product (28.2 g.) was recrystallized from hot water. The resulting long, colorless needles, which melt with decomposition at 196-197 degrees, are insoluble in alcohol, somewhat soluble in cold water, readily soluble in hot water, in acid and in alkali. "

PROCEDURE; pages 7 to 9 of www.jsr1936.com:

" THE PROCEDURE DEMANDS THAT TWO DAYS BEFORE THE TREATMENT COMMENCES, THE PATIENT WILL HAVE SWALLOWED 10,000 mg. OF VITAMIN C EACH DAY. 10,000 mg. IS NOT TO BE SWALLOWED ALL AT ONCE, RATHER, ONE 1,000 mg. VITAMIN C TABLET WILL BE SWALLOWED EVERY HOUR UNTIL 10 ARE CONSUMED BY THE END OF THE DAY. REGULAR VITAMIN C TABLETS ARE TO BE USED, NOT TIMED RELEASE. THE TOTAL OF THE VITAMIN C SWALLOWED OVER TWO DAYS TIME WILL EQUAL 20,000 mg.

IF THE PATIENT DOES NOT SWALLOW VITAMIN C IN THE MANNER I DESCRIBE, I, JOHN S. ROBERTS, AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF ANY HARM BEFALLS THAT PATIENT BECAUSE OF A FORMALDEHYDE OVERDOSE.

FIRST, LET'S DETERMINE HOW MUCH ACID SHOULD BE SWALLOWED BY THE PATIENT; LET'S ASSUME THAT THE PATIENT IS A 150 lb. (68 kg.) ADULT.

THE MERCK INDEX STATES THIS ABOUT THE LETHAL DOSAGE (LD) AMOUNT FOR THIS ACID -

'LD 50 ORALLY IN MICE: 400 mg/kg.' (j.s.r. 1/1/2000-the Alfa Aesar catalog lists it at 210 mg/kg.)

THE MERCK INDEX STATES THIS ABOUT THE LETHAL DOSAGE (LD) AMOUNT FOR 'TYLENOL' -

'LD 50 IN MICE (mg/kg): 338 ORALLY...'

THE SMALLER THE NUMBER, THE MORE TOXIC THE SUBSTANCE.

TYLENOL IS MORE TOXIC THAN THIS ACID! (j.s.r. 1/1/2000 - if you go by THE MERCK INDEX)

FOR ADULTS, LETS START OUT BY ADMINISTERING 40 mg/kg. FOR CHILDREN, LET'S START OUT BY ADMINISTERING 20 mg/kg.

EVERYDAY A 150 lb. ADULT WOULD SWALLOW 2720 mg. (40 mg. x 68 kg. equals 2720 mg.) OF THE ACID. THIS WOULD NOT BE SWALLOWED ALL AT ONCE BUT WOULD BE SPACED OUT TO THREE SEPARATE OCCASIONS DURING THE DAY.

TO REPEAT, THE TREATMENT WILL ONLY BEGIN AFTER THE PATIENT HAS SWALLOWED A TOTAL OF 20,000 mg. OF VITAMIN C (NOT TIMED RELEASE).

THE 10 DAYS OF TREATMENT -

AGAIN, I AM ASSUMING THAT THE PATIENT IS A 150 lb. ADULT. THE PATIENT WILL SWALLOW THE FOLLOWING 3 TIMES A DAY, LET'S SAY AT 8:00 A.M, 2:00 P.M. AND 8:00 P.M. (a 6 hour interval in between).

DURING EACH OF THE THREE OCCASIONS THE PATIENT WILL SWALLOW -

A. ONE 900 mg. TABLET OF THIAZOLIDINE-4-CARBOXYLIC ACID

B. ONE 1,000 mg. VITAMIN C TABLET (not timed release)

C. ONE MINERAL TABLET CONTAINING MAGNESIUM, ZINC AND MANGANESE

D. AT EACH HOUR BETWEEN THESE 3 OCCASIONS, A 1,000 mg. TABLET OF VITAMIN C WILL BE SWALLOWED.

GENEROUS AMOUNTS OF WATER ARE TO BE SWALLOWED THROUGHOUT THE COURSE OF THE DAY, NOT SODA POP!

A RECAPITULATION - THE PROCEDURE TAKE 12 DAYS, 2 DAYS OF PREPARATION WITH VITAMIN C, 10,000 mg. EACH DAY, 20,000 mg. TOTAL. THE TREATMENT TAKES 10 DAYS. EACH DAY THE PATIENT (a 150 lb. adult) WILL CONSUME A TOTAL OF 2700 mg. OF THE ACID, 13,000 mg. of VITAMIN C. 3 MINERAL TABLETS CONTAINING MAGNESIUM, ZINC AND MANGANESE; THIS MIGHT BE TOO MUCH; PERHAPS A ONE AND A HALF MINERAL TABLET WOULD SUFFICE; I DON'T WANT AN EXCESS TO CAUSE UNDUE TOXICITY; LIQUID 'IONIC' MINERALS MIGHT BE THE BEST TO USE. "

Update January 1, 2000 -

3 mineral tablets a day would probably be o.k. I am looking at the 'NOW' brand of " Full Spectrum Minerals " , and it recommends two tablets daily for the normal diet.

My procedure calls for a daily administration of 40 mg/kg. of Thioproline. Perhaps vitamin C provides enough protection for the administration of the Lethal Dosage amount of 210 mg/kg; perhaps even 420 or 630 mg/kg. of Thioproline could be administered everyday. When I say vitamin C, I also mean 'ascorbic acid'. Refer to page 12 of www.jsr1936.com - see 'Ascorbic Acid Flush'.

The brother of Mrs. Helen Gutierrez swallowed everyday for 5 days the equivalent of 600 packets of 'Equal'; a company official stated in a television interview that 97 packets of 'Equal' everyday was 'too much'. Helen's brother did not suffer any severe side effects whatsoever. Of course he had been saturating his body's cells with 'mega-doses' of vitamin C. Don't forget - 'Equal' changes into poisonous formaldehyde.

Mr. Jerry Rollins did not meet with success by following my procedure. Jerry has aggressive prostate cancer. If Jerry were to do it again I would recommend that he would take longer than 12 days, increase the dosage of Thioproline, and include Immunocal.

The 'ghost' of the Spanish study continues to haunt cancer research; I wasn't even looking for it; I stumbled upon it at about 3:15 P.M., Tuesday, September 9, 1997; my primary research was HIV/AIDS; cancer was the furthest thought from my mind at the time.

How was this result achieved in 1979 when Thioproline was administered to human beings? -

" .....Histological studies showed involution and transformation into low-grade malignancies and disappearance of evidence of cancer. "

To summarize - my suggested procedure for the treatment of cancer includes 'mega-doses' of Thioproline, vitamin C and Immunocal and 'above average' amounts of magnesium, zinc and manganese which can be obtained all together in a mineral supplement such as " Full Spectrum Minerals " .

HIV/AIDS -

A person could perhaps 'whip up' the chemical to treat HIV/AIDS - L-2-Methylthiazolidine-4-carboxylic acid (L-MTCA) - but I would not recommend it. One of the ingredients is acetaldehyde which is flammable and could EXPLODE.

Its formulation is described on page 14 of www.jsr1936.com:

" L-2-Methylthiazolidine-4-carboxylic acid was synthesized by a modification of the procedure described by Cook and Heilbron (THE CHEMISTRY OF PENICILLIN). Six grams of L-cysteine were dissolved in 15 ml of hot water and the pH of the solution was adjusted to 2.5 with hydrochloric acid. Five milliliters of freshly distilled acetaldehyde were added and the reaction mixture was allowed to stand at room temperature for several hours. The solution was then concentrated 'in vacuo' to a heavy syrup. The product was precipitated by the addition of absolute ethanol and collected on a sintered glass funnel. The yield, after recrystallization from 95% ethanol, was 2.6 gm. The melting point was 162-163 degrees, in agreement with the value reported by Cook and Heilbron. "

By the way since they contain a 'thiazolidine ring' both the chemicals which I suggest to treat Cancer and HIV/AIDS are related to PENICILLIN -

Cancer - Thiazolidine-4-carboxylic acid

HIV/AIDS - L-2-Methylthiazolidine-4-carboxylic acid (L-MTCA).

This acid (L-MTCA) is less toxic than Tylenol; see page 15 of www.jsr1936.com.

Procedure as described on pages 15 and 16 of www.jsr1936.com:

" Let's follow the example I gave for a cancer patient. For adults, let's start out by administering 40 mg/kg. For children, let's start out by administering 20 mg/kg.

Let's suppose the adult patient weighs 150 lbs. (68 kg.) - refer back to the cancer example - Everyday at 8:00 A.M., 2:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M., the patient will swallow 900 mg. of L-MTCA. The daily amount will thus total 2700 mg. (40mg x 68 kg equals 2720 mg.). In addition, at 8:00 A.M. & 2:00 P.M. & 8:00 P.M. the patient will swallow a 600 mg. tablet of NAC. "

Update January 1, 2000 -

L-MTCA is composed of L-cysteine (one half) and acetaldehyde (one half). Both the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and Centers for Disease Control (CDC) have acknowledged that HIV, the AIDS virus, can be inactivated in the test tube by acetaldehyde.

What could protect against acetaldehyde's toxicity in the human body. In 1975 Dr. Herbert Sprince and his associates demonstrated that laboratory rats were provided 100% protection against a lethal dose of acetaldehyde if they had previously been administered NAC.

However, in consideration of the information which Debbie Hamonic posted to me on December 30, a substitution needs to made for NAC; Debbie's information revealed:

" NAC (N-ACETYL CYSTEINE)

NAC and other drugs have been used for years by medical practitioners to raise intracellular GSH with good results. However drug therapy has two common problems: firstly, it carries a certain toxicity itself: secondly, GSH levels reach a rapid peak and decline within a few hours. The drug's effectiveness is thus described as having a short half-life. Rapid peaks are followed by rapid falls that can decrease GSH levels below baseline levels. For sustained effect they must be ingested or injected several times per day and are hard on the body. Many people report illness after eating NAC, including rash, wheezing, nausea, cramps and diarrhea. Others find the smell and taste unacceptable. Although rare, death has been reported in association with NAC.

Dr. Sprince also reported that L-Cysteic acid.H20 also provided rats 100% protection against a lethal dose of acetaldehyde.

I know nothing about it, but I hope that this acid has all of the benefits of NAC and none of the drawbacks.

To summarize - my suggested procedure for the treatment of HIV/AIDS includes 'mega-doses' of L-2-Methylthiazolidine-4-carboxylic acid, L-Cysteic acid.H20 and Immunocal.

CHRONIC MYELOGENOUS LEUKEMIA (CML) - see posting 'Two falling iron balls' for details.

To summarize - my suggested procedure for the treatment of CML is 'mega-doses' of d-penicillamine plus copper, vitamin C and Immunocal.

ALCOHOL ABUSE - see pages 16 to 18 and 25 to 26 of www.jsr1936.com to see why I think a third warning is necessary on the alcohol label -

" (3) PROPER METABOLISM OF ALCOHOL REQUIRES THE INGESTION OF ABOVE AVERAGE AMOUNTS OF ZINC, VITAMIN B-6 AND VITAMIN C. "

In addition, drinkers of alcohol should include Immunocal in their diet.

LOU GEHRIG'S DISEASE - see page 19 of www.jsr1936.com. To summarize - 'mega-doses' of 'Barleygreen' (superoxide dismutase - SOD) and Immunocal.

MACULAR DEGENERATION - see pages 19 to 20 of www.jsr1936.com. To summarize - 'mega-doses' of Ginkgo Biloba and Immunocal and 'above average' amounts of zinc.
