Recruitment at the Alliance: Senior Management and Professional posts

Introduction

The International HIV/AIDS Alliance supports community action on AIDS

in developing countries. To support the growth of our work, we are

recruiting the following positions in our UK secretariat:

1.Director: Policy and Technical Support Department (apply by April

10)

2.Co-ordinator: Technical Support Team (apply by April 10)

3.Co-ordinator: Policy and Communications Team (apply by April 10)

4.Senior Programme Officer: Monitoring and Evaluation (apply by April

10)

5.Programme Officer: Latin America (apply by April 10)

6.Senior Programme Officer (Technical Support Team): Prevention (apply

by May 4)

7. Programme Officer (Technical Support Team): Children (apply by

May 4)

8.Publications and Communications Manager (apply by May 4)

All posts attract excellent benefits in addition to salary. All posts

are based in the United Kingdom, with some opportunities for travel.

The Alliance is currently based in London, but planning to relocate to

Brighton by mid 2001. For all posts, qualified candidates living with

HIV/AIDS are particularly encouraged to apply.

Core requirements for all posts

· Commitment to HIV and development work with a strong community

orientation

·Good analytical skills and attention to detail

·Highly motivated, flexible and good interpersonal skills - capable of

working both independently and as part of a team

·Computer literacy (MS Office package)

·Appropriate University qualifications (see detail below)

·Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

·Spanish, French or Portuguese are advantageous
