Dear Monika,

I would love to know your personal health experience, have you

ever been unwell since being 'diagnosed'? If so how did you get better? I

myself did not ever believe in 'HIV' and was fortunate that in 1993 when I was

told I was positive I came across a copy of Continuum magazine. I was very

strongly against medicine and concerned with the toxicities and advised all of

those I knew not to take it. I was not in a high risk group, not a drug user.

However over time my health deteriorated, beginning with constant chest

infections, then pneumonia then more chest infections then very severe pneumonia

from

which I almost died. At this time I was frightened for myself and for my

daughter, she is not 'positive' but obviously needs her mother! I began to take

meds

and did well, I must admit, for a couple of years, then the side effects

began. That is another long story but suffice to say that I stopped taking meds.

I

did well for awhile, felt wonderful, but slowly over the last months my health

has declined again. Looking very objectively over time I do see that my

general state of health does seem to correlate with my CD4 count, although I

know

of many people with low counts who are well, and so do not believe that it is

as black and white as it is made out to be. I belong to the Alive and Well 200

club too, it is good to read of people with low counts being well and leading

full and happy lives. I spent many years not being tested at all. I think that

it is harder for those of us who have been severely unwell as there is

defiantly SOMETHING going on in our immune systems. I understand all of the

research

into toxicity and have been in touch with Dr. Al-Bayati of Toxi Health but

unfortunately cannot afford his fees. I eat a mainly organic diet, with much raw

food, rebound daily, take good quality green food supplements, receive

acupuncture and cranio-sacral therapy on a regular basis, have a very good home

life

and a wonderful supportive husband. I have always had a healthy disdain of

doctors as I found in my younger years that whilst they could not seem to cure

anything but only suppress the symptoms homeopathy could support my body so

that the illness did not reoccur. Having said all of this I still struggle with

my health. What is your view of what is happening for people like myself? Have

you had any similar experience? Do you know people whose immune systems have

completely recovered and if so how?

sit around and have scientific vs God mind probing quest with anyone. I

trusted God and he did the rest...its just that simple.

The faith healer is from an experience of mine. I went to one that

changed my dental fillings from silver and mercury to silver and

visiting him again because after 14 years (this oct) of being poz i

to, " Prove ALL things (HIV, included); hold fast that which is good. " Stay

>>> This all started with a simple visit to my obgyn, I should have been

treated for herpes, but instead what put through a battery of unnessary

tests because he couldn't understand why the lymph node near my vaginal

area was swollen. (It went to normal size after the breakout ended) He

sent me to a specialist who wanted to test for lymph node cancer. When

that test came up negitive he suggested out the blue that I take and Hiv

test, and this was the start of my nightmare.

I was told my husband gave me this infection, since as they put it, I too,

did not fall into the " high risk " group. They pitted us against each other

almost to the point where I wanted to divorce. The system is set up to

manipulate, cause fear and bully people. That's what happened, to us. I

was " undectible " the whole time I allowed myself to be their test specimen.

My husband was not, and they made him take cocktails that made him very

sick. I became pregnant and again was lied to, and used as a test

specimen. My son was negitive but I was told he needed to take AZT for 6

weeks anyway.

Looking back, nothing they told us or did made sense! Because I refused to

think for myself or question them I fell deeper into the cycle. I began to

have side effects from the meds I was on, irregular heart beats, dizzy

spells, insomnia, before taking the meds.. I never had these problems

before.

My husband on the other hand, lost a LOT of weight and was wasting away,

turning pale... death was at his door. I began to pray and ask God to show

me how to take care of us. I was thinking if I could find a " healthier "

way of living it would prolong our life. God led me to get this

information and meet the people that have crossed my path.

Once we stopped the meds, all of our symptoms stopped, my husband still

hasn't gained all his weight back, but for the most part he's ok. I

haven't had any major health issues that couldn't be cured by going to the

health store. I rebound, and walk, but other than that I don't do much

else. I thank God he has and is sustaining our health. After learning

the true facts about HIV/AIDS, we decided there wasn't a need to go back to

the doctors. The doctors must agree, because we have not heard from them

either. Even the dentist sends you a reminder that it's time for an

appointment, right. Here we were suppose to have a fatal disease and I

could be dead for all they know. It's just funny, they made it seem like

they were " really " concerned about us.

Well, that's about it Tangerinebutton, I take it one day at a time and

enjoy the second chance of life God has blessed me with.

I agree with you we've been given a special gift. I think it called

intelligence. While we can share the knowledge we've gained, I don't think we

can

give anyone intelligence. Either you have it or you don't. Perhaps this is

God's way of upping the average IQ.
