Guest guest
Should I or shouldn't I? That was my initial reaction. Do I respond to this or ignore it? I can't ignore it. I have seen more people than I can count recover from all their problems under the HIV/AIDS umbrella. However, along the way, there were always some who seemed to be doing all the right things, yet still had persistent health problems. Invariably further investigation usually revealed a protein (body-building) supplement. When they stopped the nonsense, their problems disappeared. , what do mean by medical/health community? To my thinking these are two distinctly and diametrically opposed communities. The medical community is probably the biggest killer (with the exception of W. Bush) in the US and our greatest expense. Medical doctors have a significantly shorter lifespan than the average American. The medical community has succeeded in destroying both our health and our economy. The health community, with which I've become intimately involved over the past 2 decades or more, takes a kinder, gentler approach. They live longer than the average lifespan and often maintain strength and vigor right to the end. The evidence I've seen in my six decades on this planet suggests that the body is a self-healing organism. Call it a miracle, call it God, nature or whatever-you-want, most disease will end on its own if we just stay out of the way. Unfortunately, most medical and even many non-medical attempts at " intervention " only do get in the way. The health experts I respect don't recommend eating high protein foods. Some claim protein intake causes more disease than medical doctors do! They say protein consumption contributes to obesity, heart disease, cancer, arthritis, cateracts and other symptoms of premature aging. I don't follow your logic that a depressed immune system needs more protein. I see the dead animal (and plant) protein that makes up so much of the American diet as a further strain on the immune system. I think logic would dictate that, proportionally speaking, no one needs more protein than a newborn who is rapidly growing. I also think logic dictates that we know the ideal food for newborns -- of all species -- their mother's milk! Human milk contains somewhere in the neighborhood of 2% (give or take a little) protein -- about the same as apple. A protein molecule is made of chain-linked amino acids. Your body takes living aminos from live fruits and vegetables and links them together to form a living human protein molecule -- something it cannot form from dead cow, pig, fish or bean protein. So why does the medical community push protein? The myth seems to have been perpetrated by the meat and dairy industry to sell their products. They claim we never outgrow our need for milk. Mother nature says we do, by the time we're three years old or so. Who are going to believe? Mother nature or the billionaires who sued Oprah Winfrey for telling the truth? I won't comment on your last paragraph, other than to say it saddens me to see you're still caught up in the numbers terrorism and still dancing with the enemy. There must be at least 50 ways to raise your white blood count, but none of them are good for your health. They all involve poisoning the body to stimulate white blood cell response. There is one healthy method, however, which should work if your doctors haven't totally destroyed your so-called immune system. The next time you are going to have the invalid surrogate markers measured, fold up your rebounder. (Make sure you tie back the spring cover away from the hinges with the attached velcro straps.) Take it with you on your appointment. Show up 15 minutes before your appointment. Open the rebounder in the parking lot and warm up with a minute or two of the gentle health bounce, then work up to an aerobic level (jogging, kicking, sprinting, using arms, etc.) and maintain it for 5 minutes. Follow that with 5 minutes of jumping (assuming you have no unhealed back injuries) and then cool down for a minute or two. Fold up the the rebounder, put it away and go have your blookwork done. What happens is this: The rebounding loosens up toxins trapped in and between cells. By the time you're finished the above workout there should be a lot more debris in your bloodstream than when you began. The body will then start sending out more white blood cells to clean up the mess. So when Dr. Dracula draws your blood he finds a lot more activity. My gut feeling is that it will triple your counts. If you want to get tested before and after and share the results with us, that would provide much better proof of the rebound effect. If you really want to be a guinea pig, here's your chance to do something for science instead of for AIDS, Inc. Hey, it's just a little blood right? We don't really need that much blood, do we? Happy New Year. Ed In a message dated 12/31/2004- 3:08:30 A.M. I think I recently have been getting probably 30 - 50 grams a day. This is considered low to some persons and they might say I need 60 - 100 or more a day. I think the logic is that the the depressed immune system needs more to rebuild cells/tissues/muscle. There appears to be varying views on this as some say too much protein is not good....and too little is not good either....so each must find their essential requirements in line with their real needs. With immune deficiency I imagine protein needs go up some. How much do you all get daily?.....and what do you think? I was using some Whey-powder protein - the L-glutathione is supposed to be an excellent immune enhancer. I have stopped taking the powder and seem to be doing well without it. I have quit taking Host Defense by New Chapter (maybe I should get back on) and am taking My Defense by Natrol now. My white blood count have been pretty low, from 1.6 - 2.0 (normal being 4.3 - 11.0). If anybody is interested in my t-cell/v-load counts or med protocol....you may e-mail privately. Any tips on how to boost white blood counts to normal range?

" Thanks, Ed, for responding. I'm grateful that you are more firmly- footed on this " Isle of Sanity " than most of us. You cleared up a few things for me with that posting... Guest guest
Bravo I could not let that great opinion go without congratulating you for saying it. I also have some asides I have added below. Re: the lo-down on protein > , what do mean by medical/health community? To my thinking these are > two distinctly and diametrically opposed communities. Don't call it the " healthcare industry " when no one uses it when they are healthy. Folks only use it when they are sick. Folks don't want anything to do with it unless they are sick. The main push in the drug industry is not to give you a pill that will get rid of your sickness and make you healthy in a week or a month. They insist that their researchers give them products to sell that the patient will need to take daily for the rest of their life. Their main aim is to keep us sick. Call them what they are: " the Sickness Industry. " < The evidence I've seen in my six decades on this planet suggests that the < body is a self-healing organism. Call it a miracle, call it God, nature or < whatever-you-want, most disease will end on its own if we just stay out of the < way. Unfortunately, most medical and even many non-medical attempts at < " intervention " only do get in the way. AMEN to that one. That is why the wondrous field of glyconutrients are being kept a secret by most of the sickness industry. When everyone knows about it many of those industries will be much smaller than they are now. However, you can be sure that the " Wellness Industry " will be buying and selling glyconutrients and making people well. If everyone knew about it, I think the public would demand that these nutrients stop being removed from our food. The health experts I respect don't recommend eating high protein foods. Some claim protein intake causes more disease than medical doctors do! They say protein consumption contributes to obesity, heart disease, cancer, arthritis, cateracts and other symptoms of premature aging. AMEN to that one as well. Eating high protein causes a massive release of acid in the stomach and that causes the body to have to remove the acid by sucking out calcium to make the digested food alkaline once it has left the stomach. This is the cause of osteoporosis and a cause of all those disease named. Keeping your body alkaline by keeping protein to 20% of each meal will keep you healthier. Taking Glyconutrients will add back calcium to your bones and keep your system more alkaline by allowing you to process the calcium you take in better. I also think logic dictates that we know the ideal food for newborns -- of all species -- their mother's milk! Human milk contains somewhere in the neighborhood of 2% (give or take a little) protein -- about the same as apple. Yes and what is the largest part of Mommy's milk? Glyconutrients! That is what. Gee, you think the creator thinks we might just need glyconutrients? Mommy's milk is a huge deliverer of the 8 monosaccharides that cause the body to thrive its way to complete wellness. There must be at least 50 ways to raise your white blood count, but none of them are good for your health. They all involve poisoning the body to stimulate white blood cell response. There is one healthy method, however, which should work if your doctors haven't totally destroyed your so-called immune system. I agree with the rebounder as therapy. Movement is the only way the lymph system can circulate. The blood system has the heart. The circulating lymph system only circulates when the muscles are in movement. Rebounding gets all the juices pumping and is very beneficial. Lynn
