Guest guest
....i have a question for you intelligent people....im 5 mos pregnant. I have an extreme fear of taking anything during pregnancy...i take nothing except for maternal vitamins. I am interested in taking red rasberry leaf. Now here is my dilema...i decided upon the caplets rather than the actual leaf because i dont generally like teas and i am much more likely to commit to this if i can take the caplet...i know its terrible. What is the consensus on the caplet form....does anyone know....? Is it safe and how much should i take? Each one is 575 mg apparently christina
Guest guest
I've been taking RRL since 6 weeks along. No problems at all! My midwife wnats me to take a total of 6 capsules a day, so I do. The bottle says 4 a day, I think. Unless you run this by your midwife/OB, I would go with the instructions on the bottle. I would assume it's safe, since my midwife recommended it. I know it helps tone the uterus for childbirth, beyond that, I don't know, but would be interested to hear! Congrats on your impending arrival, btw! ~ in TX Maxwell 4/5/00 (hospital) #2 10/16/01 (homebirth) > ...i have a question for you intelligent people....im 5 mos pregnant. > I have an extreme fear of taking anything during pregnancy...i take > nothing except for maternal vitamins. Guest guest
, I dont know about the quantity (the container should have guidelines to follow) but my texts reccomend taking it as a tonic for the last three months. The active conponant is fragrine which stimulates prostaglandins, thus prepare the uterine muscles for labour...ie if you start too early you could cause premature labour.... so leave it for another month to start taking it daily.... hope that information is useful for you. Enjoy your swelling belly and good luck with your upcoming birth..... maryanne " The Belly....As full as the moon, as soft as clouds in the wind "
