Guest guest
Sandy, Persons who are allergic to dairy tend to be allergic to soy and wheat as well. Rotating those proteins minus the dairy in and out of your diet can be a way to safely eat them without side effects. I am trying to implement a rotation diet into our family. My daughter who is recovered from autism is allergic to casein, gluten and soy. I am also allergic to those proteins and so is my daughter's twin brother except he is not allergic to soy. The study we were in measured the reactivity of these proteins on a t-cell mediated level. Up until that point all allergy testing we had done on our daughter came back conflicting. We finally got the answers we were looking for. However, I will say if any of you have a child who is developmentally delayed I wouldn't waste the time on testing. I would dive straight into a diet free of casein, gluten and then play around with soy and corn to see if that might be a problem. From what we have seen with this study and others like it is that these proteins 90% or more are causing problems with brain function in those with developmentally delayed children. This in turn seems to be predispose some of these children to adverse vaccine reactions possibly thru a route as simple as malnutrition due to leaking gut from inflamed GI tract b/c of ingesting foods which your body reacts to. Binstock has put together a very fascinating paper on this very issue. Hopefully, it will be out soon if it is not already. One more piece in the puzzle of any adverse vaccine reaction with a child. hope this is making sense. I am writing this while half way out the door. lol
