Guest guest
Yes they would... And " yes " they should... They are not allowed to administer any medication or vaccines to your child without your consent. They are not even allowed to do a TB test without your consent.. They may try to do it anyway, therefore, you must make your child aware that she/he should not allow the school nurse of the other children or the teacher to administer any medication or injections unless they speak with your first.. Any outbreak of any communicable disease at any institution must be made known to all who are at that institution. There may be people on steroids and chemotherapy that have been warned to stay away from any communicable diseases by their physicians. Therefore all schools must notify you of the disease and your choice to either give an antibiotic or a vaccine or to just keep your child home for the duration of the epidemic. When my son recently acquired the MUMPS from the other children who were revaccinated with their second MMR in April. I told the school and the health department about it.. They just " poo pooed " me saying that they had not had anyone else who had been reported the MUMPS. My son asked a few of his friends who have been vaccinated about their reactions to the injection and they all had some form of swollen glands and sore throats that definitely sounded like the MUMPS to me.. My son was examed by our Chiropractor who is also our physician. He had not had MUMPS as a child and contracted it from my son and gave it to several of his patients. None of these folks were diagnosed with MUMPS even though the symptoms were present. They were either taking so over the counter allopathic medication or got an antibiotic from their physicians. None of the MD's diagnosed the MUMPS.. They don't even know it when they see it... Luckly MUMPS is a very inocuous disease and there are little if no, complications. ----- Original Message ----- From: Jane Sheppard <shepp05@...> > I received a Parental Annual Notice from my daughter's school notifying me > of my rights pertaining to my child being in school.
