Guest guest
Hello, I'm a new member and thought I'd introduce myself. I am a mom of 5 (4 boys, ages 3, 11, 12, 15; and 1 girl age 2). We felt we HAD to vaccinate with the first 3, then did some of the 3 yr olds and finally let our instincts prevail. Since we have always homeschooled, it's not a big issue like some who fight the schools. We have found a lot of information AGAINST vaccinating over the years, but always felt pressured by doctors and well-intentioned friends. When our local school system ran a newspaper article about how immunized school kids were put at risk by those not vaccinated, we started researching all over again. I was also motivated by a run in a friend had with the public school system: when her almost teen son was going into the next grade, they found he had not had one of a series of his baby shots and they insisted that he needed to have it to enter school that year. My understanding of vaccines (from animal science major at cornell u.) is that one will usually begin working, a second is sometimes needed, but in an animal that is not going through maternal anti-body interference, that is all that is necessary. The huge number of a series...and the forcing of a baby shot at age 12...it just doesn't seem like good medicine. Many dog breeders and some livestock breeders are vaccinating a lot less, as well, and those findings (of why and the reactions, etc) have caused us to raise our daughter " vaccine-free " . The boys are not receiving further vaccines, either. We are still searching for information and hope to find some help here. **-_-**-_-**-_-**-_-** Diane Kann His Inspiration Farms Palm Bay, FL mailto:him@... http://www.comp-ware.net/hif - His Inspriation Farms' home on the net. http://www.wegotyourgoat.com/ - Goat milk fudge, cheese, and soap.
