Guest guest
A warm and effervescent welcome to you, Tasha! I am so happy that you found us cuz you're in the right place. Just sit back and get to know us awhile. We're pretty full of it here. Er, with information that is!!! And whatever questions you have, please just ask. Someone here either knows the answer or can give you sources to find the info yourself. Our regular moderator, Sheri Nakken, is out of town right now, so you won't get to enjoy her posts for awhile yet. She is quite knowledgeable and a character to boot! Between here and the Mothering Board, you'll be teaching hubby all about vaccines real soon! By the way, here's what worked with my non-reading husband. Force him to look at the pictures of dead and damaged children over at www.909shot.com and then read their stories of how they were killed and damaged. Also make him read the stories of dead children (no pictures) over at www.ThinkTwice.com It really made it seem " real " to my husband. No longer were we talking about numbers, but real human beings who deserved to live. I also have an NVIC brochure with pictures of dead/damaged children and their stories. The brochure also includes info about NVIC. I would be happy to mail you one, if you like. Kathleen aka Holimomma

I have to agree. *BUT* I know it's easy for me to say it as a veteran Mom of 4. When I had my first I was scared because it was all unknown territory and it was hard to not go to those appointments. I just brought my four for appointments because I found a wonderfully respectful, kind and young woman DR. who I knew would not hassle me. I just brought them for the heck of it so I would have some record of them being seen. It amazed me that all they really did was weigh them and measure their height since they are basically very healthy kids. All that hoopla for weight and height! Just take baby steps with this issue. It's a process! K ~Kerin~ Mom of Four~ *When you tend a rose, my lad, A thistle cannot grow*
Guest guest
Tasha: I was in the same dilemna you are currently in. I got the first few vacs spaced apart and then told my dr that I wanted to wait until my dd was two before receiving anymore to give me time to investigate vaccines. Now I've decided not to vaccinate, but its a great idea to give yourself time to make the right decision for you and yours. Keep reading and talking to people and you will come up with whats right for you and your family. Allow yourself all the time you need to make your decision. If you decide vaccination is right for you, or you want some vacs and not others, you can get them at anytime. EVen adults receive vacs, and immigrants and so on. I wish you well and the best of luck in your decision, which will probably be one of the most important decisions of your life, because it could effect the entire lives of your little ones. Not that I want to add any more pressure or anything. smiles. marvis-chicago

Guest guest
Hi Tasha, Welcome to the list. > I want to make an appointment to talk about > delaying till she's at least two. You don't have to talk about it, it's your free will. Just cancel these fake well-baby appointments. Take the kid to a doc if ill. The more you see the doc now, the more they'll take advantage of your insecurities. Hopefully you're breastfeeding, and baby will be healthy. Your diet, health is key in this state. > " The injuries occur so rarely hun! And niether of our > families has ever had a reaction. it's for you to determine whether the good health in your respective famlies is 'because' of vaccines or 'inspite' of vaccines. I know a lot of apparantly healthy people who 'smoke', 'drink' etc. Try to get your ped to guarantee vaccine results (that kid will not get disease), or take personal liability for vaccines. Also ask for vaccine ingredients. It's a refreshing list. rgds Auj > hi, I'm new to this group, as well as a new mom. My > daugter Kyrra is almost 3 mo. And niether of our families has ever had a reaction. Wouldn't you rather know that she couldn't get the diases'? " I'm really confused! But that's why I'm here! To gain some insight into this dilema! Tasha Hey,girl. You've come to the right place. Im my opinion further vaxxing her could hurt, not stopping the cycle. And if you decide to finish the series, Vit A and C are also a good idea to supplement her with. If you want, I can email you with more info and some websites to check. Vaxxing does not mean guaranteed immunity so she can still get the disease vaxxed against. I don't know how pro-life you are, but some of the vaxxes are made from aborted tissues and thimerasol is not the only substance to be wary of! Guest guest
Tasha, Welcome! It is such a tough road to follow, but I am so happy to see you are at least questioning. Just so you know, you do not HAVE to discuss with your pedi, delaying. You can just refuse the shots. There may be pressure, but just simply state that you are looking into vaccines more, and until then, you do not want to make a rash decision, and are therefor going to refuse them until you have come to a decision. If the doctor persists, you can do as I do with people who try to push, and tell them the topic is not open for discussion, and leave it at that. Definitely check out the sites here, like Sheri's, Sandy's whale-to, etc. Print some of the information out, and if you have to, remove all bathroom 'reading' material, and instead leave what you printed. I am not completely certain, but from what I understand, if you group vaccines together, and rate their effectiveness, they are only 60% effective, at best. They DO 'wear' out, thus the need for boosters. Most times, children who catch these diseases that are so feared, ARE vaccinated. This fact causes the diseases to mutate (such as whooping cough). Also, manytimes, children catch the disease FROM the vaccines, i.e chicken pox, polio, etc. If you make the wise decision (in MY opinion) to no longer vaccinate, you will need to eat healthily, and care for the body you were blessed with (and baby). If you try to attain/maintain optimal health, even IF your dd contracts these diseases, she will be able to handle them so much better than a vaccinated child, a vaccinated child that eats unhealthily, etc. It is an extremely rare instance that one of these dieases is fatal on it's own. The fatalities, WHEN they occur (seldom) spring forth from complications due to interventions, such as paracetamols, etc. Before you continue the shots, ask questions here, and we will help you to come to a decision that is right for YOU. Glad you found us, and blessings to you and yours. ~Donna --- Tasha Curtis <spiritpatch@...> wrote: > hi, I'm new to this group, as well as a new mom. My > daugter Kyrra is almost 3 mo.
