World AIDS Marathon T-shirts for $5 That’s right, we’re asking you, as well as other local retailers, restaurants, clubs and businesses to show their support for the World AIDS Marathon. In the minute it will take you to read this letter and the next minute to scratch your head and wonder if it’s true; 11 people will have died from AIDS. As an HIV-positive, brain cancer survivor, my chances for survival… you can make your own determination. But as long as there is no shortage of running shoes, I’ll be running the World AIDS Marathon. Will you? Okay, so running 26 miles isn’t your gig, and you’re asking yourself, ‘Why would this crazy guy subject himself to a marathon?’ My running marathons is to show others that just because they’re facing a fatal disease(s) does not mean you cannot continue living a productive life. MEDICINE, having access to the AIDS medicine and excellent medical care, and the support of a loving family are the key elements that keep me fit to run. Additionally, I have a team of 50 unpaid University of Florida interns helping me organize the 2005 Gainesville World AIDS Marathon. The goal of the M. Brodsky Foundation is to raise money to find a cure or vaccine for AIDS, to fund cancer research, to provide living aid to AIDS sufferers in America, and to provide homes for the 14,000,000 orphans whose parent(s) have died from AIDS in Africa. For our marathon to raise awareness and money, we need as many people wearing the World AIDS Marathon T-shirt as possible. If you would like to have your name, school, business or club printed on the promotional T-shirt, please contact us at www.worldaidsmarathon.com via Internet Explorer. Next, click on the link 'Donate,' and then scroll down until you find the name Jodi Brodsky. The rest is easy. Your contribution needs to be submitted online or by check, payable to the M. Brodsky Foundation at the address noted above. A minimum of 100 T-shirts is required and the price for the 100 shirts is $520. Donations for the T-shirt must be received no later than November 1st, 2005. This offer is being made as part of a fundraising program by the M. Brodsky Foundation. The T-shirts have a value of $2 each. Please contact me, at richardbpc@..., with what you would like to have written on the back of the shirt (black/white only), i.e. Doe, Harvard University, and also where can I mail the shirt. When you submit your name or logo please specify how may small, medium, large and extra-large t-shirts you would like to receive. The shirts will be delivered to the address on the check unless otherwise advised. For further information about the M.
