Guest guest
statistics shows that the youths contribute to almost 60 percent of the HIV/AIDS positive.yet looking at the people in the frontline in the campaigns the structures put into place only allow for one youth representatives in the committees.the wise saying goes as, " the owner of the shoe knows where it pinches most " . therefore let the young people be given the chance to champion for the priority intervention and the issues they think are good for them to realise the change of their behavior. secondly let us try and use a people centred approach in community development rather instead of the product centred approach whereby we design a proposal and mobilize for funds without the communities knowledge. this always poses the problem of ownership and also interferes with the actual impact the project is designed to achieve.let the young people propose this ideas ,design the strategies, implement the project and evaluate what they have achieved.they might not be qualified but remember in normal life it is not what you know that matters, rather it is what you do with the knowledge the knowledge that counts. best regards from, abok ersatus rabare. lagnet-cric
