Guest guest
Hello ine & Hezekiah That sounds great!!! Those kid needs all the support we can get! And as we know there is still a lot to do for Orphans and PLWHA's. The group from Stanley is working hard and we support where we can! We are still waiting for response from the Red Cross in Kenya after we wrote a letter to IFRC in Geneva, and they are aware about the situation in Kenya, Nakuru and other cities around. We are happy that the Hands Project in Nakuru is doing so great, and it starts to get world wide now.Maybe you can contact with eachother about this, Stanley will be in touch with you! Warmly greetings, Ingrid & Steve RE: Orphans Hezekiah, I need to introduce you to a Mr. Aboge of Standard Newspapers who runs a partly Unicef-funded children's home in Kondele, Kisumu. He told me yesterday that he could take in about 20 more kids beginning January 2004. I know the benefits of the home-based program you operate but if you have desperate orphans who don't have relatives to live with, Aboge's program could be of help. ine. -----Original Message-----From: Hezekiah Nyaranga [mailto:reachout5@...]Sent: Thursday, November 20, 2003 8:18 AMAIDS treatments ; kenyaonline ; kca_main ; Subject: Re :wife inheritance without sexHello Dear FriendsAlways there has been an option to wife inheritancewithout involving in sex. This date back to the Luotradition. There is something special about sex hereand there are several ways we can help my people tounderstand the complication brought about by Aids inthe inheritance issue. The option was that when onedied and was considered unclean there used to be thehanging of acoat in his room after lighting theevening fire. The Brother in law would stay in thishouse till late night then walk back to his housewithout having sex with the woman and the traditionwas fulfilled. We used to have the decission made by council ofelders as to who should inherit who and this was notaprivate a fair.We need to discuss and she how we can help the womenas i know there are gaps we can bridge.Hezekiah.http://www./group/http://www./group/aids-africa (a group made up of Africans worldwide)Join Digital Africa- an information technology group that discusses IT in Africa at http://www./group/digafrica
Guest guest
Hello Calle and All I totally agree with you, after our visit to Uganda and Kenya, visiting the Orphans and the schools. It was devastating to see those little kids, taking care of families, the kids in the age of 8/15 years old. It brought tears in our eyes! And as wrote in an email 1 month ago, we almost felt guilty what we have in life even with our HIV status! And for sure there is more work than we can realize! And work that need to be done! Warmly, Ingrid Kloet-Garrett & Steve Garrett RE : RE: Orphans Dear all, I think there is a huge need to care for children whose parent/s have AIDS before they become orphans, in order to alliviate their sufferings also at that stage. I presume that it would ease the pain once they do become orphans. Sorry to suggest even more work. Have a good week Calle http://www./group/http://www./group/aids-africa (a group made up of Africans worldwide)Join Digital Africa- an information technology group that discusses IT in Africa at http://www./group/digafrica

Guest guest
Dear Hezekiah, , I keep reading this message and I can't help but thinking of students and teachers who would be very compassionate towards helping a child who needs an education. Why can't someone contact a local high school teacher who is involved in a club which focuses on doing charitable work. My foundation does something similar for collecting running shoes and shipping them to Africa as well as raising money for the World AIDS Marathon and we have managed to raise about $1,500 from high schools over a two year period. $1,000 came from my own high school. This could be a very good way for other people who are reading this E-mail and want to help these students. Contact your own high school. Very Truly Yours, Brodsky, President M.
