Ed Karanja Support for the Family of Mwaniki Kiguthara Murigu/Burial costs Dear Ed, Chifu, and most especially Al-Hajj Yusuf Murigu and Family, It is such a great sorrow to us all to hear about the passing of a beloved and brilliant young man, Mwaniki Kiguthara Murigu, and I am sure I can speak for all of us here when I/we extend our deepest and most heartfelt condolences and sympathies to Mr. Murigu--Mwaniki's father--and family for this tragic loss. I have no doubt that the qualities and spirit embodied by your son are not lost but are instead a living presence and spirit among us, and will help to sustain you during this terrible time. We will be sending our loving thoughts and support and strength your way, too, and will do whatever we can to be of help and comfort. Thank you for letting us know about this, Ed, and also for the details should people be able to contribute to this most worthy cause. I am wondering if any special arrangements might be made with Kenya Airways or something done to address the high costs you have mentioned? I do have one contact at the Airways but don't know if that would help, and am wondering if Mwaniki or someone else in the KCA might have such contacts, as I believe I remember this being mentioned. I will pass this along and am sure Chifu will as well. Once again, we can't express our sorrow at this tragic loss, and will help in any way we can. With greatest sympathies and in a spirit of support always, Janet (Feldman, kaippg@... ) ----- Original Message ----- From: enkaranja AIDS treatments Cc: yussufmurigu@... Guest guest
Could someone please post a location for funds transfer internationally to Sutton for this appeal. Yet another tragedy bringing such great sorrow for the family and friends of an obviously vibrant young man whose stay with us was too short. I just wanted to share with family and friends a poem by Edgar Guest which was very helpful to me when my eldest daughter died prematurely:- " I'll lend you for a little while, a child of mine, He said. For you to love while he lives, and mourn when he is dead. It may be months or years, 22 or 3, but will you, until I call him back, take care of him for me? He'll bring his charms to gladden you, and should his day be brief you'll have his lovely memories as comfort in your grief. I cannot promise he will stay, since all from earth return, but there are lessons taught down there, I want this child to learn. I've looked this wide world over in my search for teachers true and from the throngs that crowd life's lanes, I have selected you. Now will you give him all your love, nor think the labour vain, nor hate me when I come to call, to take him back again? I fancy that I heard them say, Dear Lord your will be done. For all the joy your child shall bring the risk of grief we'll run. We will shelter him with tenderness we will love him while we may, and for all the happiness we have known, forever grateful stay. But should the angels call for him much sooner than we planned, we will brave the bitter grief that comes, and try to understand.
