Guest guest
We had an EI for Austin come to the house once a week, and she re- inforced what the therapists were teaching him at the center. This is the only therapy we did at home, as Austin did better with a center based program. When they did his eval at home, they underestimated his abilities because of his attention span. The cat would walk thru or whatever...When he got to the center, he thrived on all of the activities they attemped, and I had tried to explain that he could do all of these things already, but would not " show off " his ability. The EI was the greatest, and had lots of suggestions for me to do with him the rest of the week at home. She stayed in touch with all of his therapists and worked on sign, speech, physical and ot all at the same time, while teaching me what to do. I loved it, and so did Austin...The system in Louisville was great for us, I am only sorry we had to leave them...
