Hi,

well, we are home from the hospital. The doctors reckoned he was safer at

home, less likely to pick up something even worse! All the tests for a

joint infection came back negative thankfully. But, he still has a lot of

pain, still has a high fever, tho that did come down this morning it is back

up to 38 C again tonight, he is still reluctant to walk and still the

moaning minny from hell. Mind you sharing a hospital bed with him last

night hasn't done much for my perception of patience, especially as the ward

was realy busy and very noisy most of the night. Anyway, the general

medical concensus is that he has a flu like illness and pain in his legs!

Not a whole lot of help becoz it gives me no time scale to look forward to a

well boy again. He can go back to school monday if his fever stays down but

it hasn't. he isn't eating, even turned down chips (thats as in proper

english chipshop chips and not american french fries or crisps, which you

call chips in the states). So I know he must be feeling really grotty!

Sigh. He has a 48 hour " open access " to the hospital ward so if his legs

get worse I can just ring them up and get him admitted without going thro

A & E or my GP, I'm hoping I don't need to use it.

Sue Wong (hoping that the " flu like illness " that I have also will be gone

intime to go back to work on monday, oh joy!)
