Guest guest
Hi Carolyn: I will definately keep Darran in my prayers. My nephew, Ethan, age 7, was also a huge fan of Dale Earnhardt. He cried yesterday when he heard the news that Dale Earnhardt had died. He saw the wreck happen on T.V. Ethan's room has Dale Earnhardt and the #3 car all over it also. It broke my heart to see him so upset. He made all of us cry too, sooooo sad. Please pray for Ethan too along with the Earnhardt family and their friends. This man will be missed by a lot of people. I am sure all of you have heard Dale Earnhardt was killed yesterday. Darran's room is a memorial now for this man, as Darran even has Mr. Earnhardt licience plates on his dune buggy even . This is very rough on Darran it took us until midnight to get him in bed last night , Thanks Carolyn >>

Guest guest
I lost my mom 2 years ago. I didn't think my Caiti would understand either. She was in the funeral parlor and having a ball meeting people and then pulled up a dead stop looked and said " That's Grandmom! " I said yes and she said " She's dead? " and I reaffirmed it and she very much understood to my surprise. She catches herself every once in awhile and will cry -- at school when someone's grandmom comes to visit or just thinking about her. Caty will understand. Guest guest
May I ask how old Darran was when he started to understand dying? I was thinking about this the other day..... I don't think Caty would understand if someone close to her died. She's 10. I'll keep Darran in my prayers. mommy to Caty ---------- > From: Carolyn <clong@...> > > Subject: Darran > Date: Monday, February 19, 2001 7:54 AM > > Please all of you keep Darran in your prayers these next few days. Her older sib's father died 2 years ago and sometimes she will say " Mike now s daddy " and she relates death to Heaven in her eyes all go to live with God in Heaven, when they die. Guest guest
Darran still at times has a hard time with the concept of dying, because this morning we were watching the news and because they were showing clips of Mr. Earnhardt, to Darran this ment the man was still alive , as he did have doctors appointment today I did tell the doctor , I do not know what this man and Darran talked about , but Darran seemed so much more informed when he came out so this evening when watching and they run clips Darran started crying , I then knew he understood. So you might want to talk to Caties doctor about this or let them talk to her about death. Guest guest
Kathy this is the way I was handeling the death thing with Darran , but to Darran heaven just seemed to be a place he to could go visit. After his talk with the doctor yesterday and I haven't a clue as to what he said to Darran but Darran had a better concept of death after they talked. Sometimes we really run into some vvery informed and helpful professionals. This young doctor has really been a help for me this week in a couple of areas.
