Guest guest
At least the DT program is dependable, I talked to several people today from an agency that I suggested they & the facility contact for " blindness training 101 " ....I must have esp, as they'd just gotten out of a meeting where this was discussed. The DT program already has an inservice set up for next week. Iwill see what happens with the facility. I toured a couple group homes today (small ICF-DD's) & I was told by the administrator that a person in an ICF-DD is allowed to be out of the facility not more than 10 days a year, or they start losing funding.....IS THAT TRUE? Like if my son comes home Friday & stays til Sunday, then that Saturday is considered his one day (as they don't count the days they leave or come back.) But camp didn't count because the facility was still responsible for him; even though the camp had nothing to do with the facility & I was the contact person if anything happened. I also found out more than I care to know about why he won't be able to get into a CILA & that doesn't make me feel better about his situation.
