This is what Tom Cross sent back after I'd emailed him some of the IPADD

stories, and judging from the typos he doesn't always bother with spellcheck.

" laurie i am hopeful we can resolve all the problems that have developed budget

wise over the last month or so when we are in springfield this tuesday and

wednesday...not a time to point fingers but this did not have to occur (the

cuts)... i believe the governor thought he could scare every body into a tax

hike by taking this approach of cuts and layoffs.. unfortunately a move that has

had a negative impact on many.. in any event this week is critical and i believe

we cab restore some sanity to a system that is already struggling financally

(human services) thanks for all your advocacy.. i of course remenber you and

mention our meetings and your wrk often tom dont hesitate to call me
